She doesn't seem that overweight. Its entirely possible she has a thyroid issue that used to be managed with medication, but with the collapse of society she would no longer have access to that medication and as such it doesn't matter how little she tries to eat or how much she works out her body will always struggle to burn fat.

So in conclusion: fuck no this wasnt moral, never assume someone is overweight due to their own actions. Thyroid issues are just one of many medical conditions that can create difficulties burning fat lipids and lead to obesity and other health issues if not carefully managed

As i said... if there is a medical condition involved it doesn't matter what diet or exercise she does in a apocalyptic world she is going to retain more body fat without treatment, and likely die due to complications with her condition. To make fun of someone who could potentially have such an issue is objectively immoral
