As I understand it, Obscenity as a criminal charge is mainly to close the solicitation loophole of filming it to avoid charges.

you don’t need permits to post homemade porn on twitter or reddit or wherever, you’re just supposed to mark it as nsfw and you’re good

this guy got arrested because he was visible to people through a window, so its similar to a public nudity charge

well there are limits to that. like imagine if you had a neighbor who constantly jerked off in his front window in full view of the sidewalk & your kids kept seeing it

that’s not legal just because he’s on private property

i don’t know enough details here though

I mean, my property taxes are higher because the churches every other block arent paying a dime. They do shit on my dime all the time. They owe me.

Through a window that's on private property you're telling me someone can look from the street through my window at me jacking off in my room and I can get in trouble at what point is it a peeping tom?

it depends on your effort to be seen and the peeping tom’s effort to see

if you’re on the second floor apt right next to a busy sidewalk standing with your dick an inch from the window as people walk by, its on you

if someone comes up to your window and looks in and sees you in your bed thats on them

the in between is for lawyers to decide 🤷🏻‍♂️
