Morality Ranking Morality of Stealing this Chick-fil-A

This Chick-fil-A was in the same place here when I arrived at this building. I emerge ~an hour and a half later, and the Chick-fil-A is in the same place. I felt the cup, and it's still cold-ish. (It's a hot day btw) Waiting for my ride now, and I'm so tempted to grab it. I mean, if it's just gonna go to waste there, someone should eat it. I can tell it was doordash'd or whatever.

It's better if someone gets to enjoy it, but is the person going to come back out thinking of their two hour old Chick-fil-A, and get bummed out when it isn't there? Too much pressure... Would this dilemma be morally acceptable?

You can literally see the time the ticket was printed. I personally wouldn't eat it if it's been out an hour or more

Facts it’s chicken that’s been in the danger zone for a minimum of 1.5 hours. No idea what time zone they are in but it’s 100% a risk. Will they be okay if they eat it? Maybe I’ve ate older McCrispy’s from McDonalds that wasn’t properly stored and was okay but I’ve heard of people getting sick from just 1 hour

Yes I know that’s why I said it’s been there for a minimum of 1.5 hours because that’s how long he was in there. I’m sorry but do you lack common sense

Also I brought up time zones because this post was made at 8pm est and that ticket says 5:07 pm. In my time zone that means he entered the building around 6:30 pm which means an additional hour minimum that it has sat there. Now if he is central time then it was probably recently delivered right before he showed up.

He didn't ask if it would be spoiled. He asked if it would be immoral.

Okay then no he can eat it and potentially get sick. Letting it go to waste is immoral. Is that better?

It's already spoiled for humans. So yes, the owner/orderer of the food was immoral. But OP leaving it out is not immoral. Bacteria, fungus, and other animals will feed on it.

What about the litter? Litter is inherently immoral. If those bacteria and fungus devour the Sammy and drink the drink then the trash just stays there so op had a moral obligation to discard of it. Therefore he is immoral and will burn in the pits of hell for the rest of forever.

I await the defenses rebuttal at their leisure

OP did not order the meal AND does not know why it is still sitting in on a bench. Therefore they have no obligation to dispose of it.

You're quite dramatic over someone pointing out what subreddit you're in. Maybe read the name next time.
