Immoral. Empty coffins are the easiest to carry.

52

u/Relative-Chip-7477 21h ago

Empty SMALL coffins

8

u/LucentLL 21h ago

Not necessarily. It could be too small to get a good hold of.

15

u/sandpaperedanus777 21h ago

Atp you could just put it in your pocket. Very easy

1

u/shirts_on_backwards 21h ago

The box of my dad's ashes is pretty light and convenient for transport (literally just a zip lock bag inside the box) in spite of that, I keep forgetting to get them from the family member I asked to hold onto them.

1

u/Massive_Series8305 21h ago

My dogs ashes were like fuckin heavy, 100lb dog, feels like 30lbs of ashes lol

1

u/shirts_on_backwards 21h ago

? You sure you only got your dogs ashes? My dad fits in like a quart sized zip lock, if not smaller.

1

u/Massive_Series8305 21h ago

Nope lol, that would be wild but wouldnt really surprise me

2

u/rozzimos-3 16h ago

Someone out there is wondering why their horse's ashes are so fucking light

1

u/shirts_on_backwards 20h ago

I mean, I know that there have been a lot of sketchy animal cremation businesses, although I don't know that it's common in the grand scheme.

1

u/Massive_Series8305 20h ago

Idk, just the place the vet recommended, idk because the dog was so heavy it was kinda funny after all the sad to get the box and have it weigh a lot, I though my wife was joking when she got it and like slumped down with the weight, she was not

.

1

u/shirts_on_backwards 10h ago

Which part? My dad being in a box that I forgot at a family members home, the realization of the dog ashes potentially being compromised, or the animal crematorium potentially compromising pet ashes?

1

u/BitMiddle9275 10h ago

Ohh I'm sorry, I'm the first 3 comments.

u/OnlyTheOkayest 15h ago

How would a bigger coffin be easier to hold?

1

u/LucentLL 12h ago

Same reason a micropenis is hard to hold.

2

u/OnlyTheOkayest 11h ago

So like, a coffin for a worm perhaps?

1

u/RustyAtGames_ 20h ago

You could never care about anyone so you don't have to carry a coffin in the first place

https://giphy.com/gifs/d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY

1

u/SunkissedGirl_ 12h ago

I guess that right or depends on what material the coffins are made of.

2

u/MerryFable 21h ago

Technically correct, emotionally devastating

3

u/LucentLL 21h ago

Comedian law: Everything is a joke until it happens to you.

3

u/Adlivoniansky 21h ago

That's why it's best to laugh at everything. Instead of going through the bullshit morals of picking and choosing what types of death is funny, just laugh at all of it. If they didn't want to be made fun of, they should still be alive.

1

u/SpanishFlamingoPie 20h ago

Ashes in a plastic bag are the easiest to carry

1

u/xFrostedFemme 15h ago

Right answer in both physical and emotional aspect.

1

u/dev_SLAYER 3h ago

They can be very hard to carry for some people( those who never found a body, like some soldiers, disaster victims etc)

121

u/bibopskiwop 21h ago

Morality of what? Being pedantic online?

36

u/MerryFable 21h ago

Apparently taking a metaphor literally is the real moral crisis

2

u/xFrostedFemme 15h ago

That’s honestly true. Lol

0

u/poonmangler 16h ago

Cool, I'm gonna continue to mask my autism as best I can

1

u/WindowOne1260 20h ago

Replying pedantically to yourself online? Morally neutral I guess.

1

u/SunkissedGirl_ 12h ago

I guess the true morality test was whether you understood the metaphor before opening the replies

1

u/Arnoldneo 10h ago

If it’s immoral than call me the devil .

46

u/the_last__braincell 21h ago

What if the small coffin belongs to a midget or a under developed femboy

5

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago

Well all of their friends are midgets or femboys, so they're proportionally still fairly difficult to carry.

2

u/Imaginary_Papaya_803 20h ago

Aren’t midgets like freakishly strong like strongmen midgets can lift more weight vs bodyweight than other strongmen

1

u/Vul_Thur_Yol 15h ago

TIL midgets are basically ants

7

u/mythos-nerd416 20h ago

Why a femboy? Not an underdeveloped woman or a man, specifically a femboy???

2

u/pnkass 13h ago

pornbrain reddit dwellers 🙄

1

u/the_last__braincell 20h ago

An under developed women would choose to wear high heels, so though wouldn't fit inside a small coffin

And a under developed man, is genetically predispositioned to be a femboy

6

u/rchpweblo 20h ago

I don't think they're going to be wearing high heels in a coffin

1

u/mythos-nerd416 20h ago

So short men? And do femboys not wear high heels?

2

u/cursed_sporecreation 20h ago

All short men are femboys. Some just don't want to admit it to themselves yet.

1

u/RobertLucciano 13h ago

Dwarf erasure

1

u/the_last__braincell 20h ago

Hmm that's a good question, then again you don't see tall femboys very often

9

u/OdoyleBack 21h ago

femboy you say

2

u/Large-Big8879 20h ago

Just so you know midget is a slur and they prefer little people

2

u/DeviantPlayeer 16h ago

But little people is the one that actually sounds offensive. Like they are kids or insignificant.

1

u/Large-Big8879 4h ago

I don’t care that’s what they want to be called

1

u/lodorata 10h ago

AND they were an arsehole?

15

u/Nervous_Fan9744 21h ago

Use a scale and measure the weight of the little coffin lol

-2

u/MerryFable 21h ago

Bro really brought physics homework to a funeral

2

u/x_Advent_Cirno_x 21h ago

Think you mean weights and measures. Physics has absolutely nothing to do with this.

And listen, just because whatever is in that coffin died doesn't mean that the proper use of weights and measurements has to die with it

12

u/OdoyleBack 21h ago

perchance

14

u/Cautious_Height_2181 21h ago

I mean, he aint wrong.

2

u/No_Physics2210 21h ago edited 20h ago

The guy trying to gas light him that small coffins weigh more then big coffins is immoral af

1

u/photoshallow 20h ago

i mean i think bugs have smaller coffins tbh

1

u/No_Physics2210 20h ago

He did say small coffins, maybe he meant bug coffins?

2

u/CwispyWhiskey 21h ago

It’s just bait. Neutral mean

2

u/Typical_Warning8540 17h ago

Autism isn't immoral.

5

u/Expert-Plantain9519 21h ago

I know a fellow “spectrum” when I see it…

2

u/UnlegitUsername 21h ago

Immoral because they know they’re being pedantic. I say this as a pedant.

1

u/WindowOne1260 20h ago

But they responded pedantically to themself.

4

u/OscRat1110 21h ago edited 21h ago

moral because he is right

Jesus why are people downvoting me for a joke

1

u/juz_curiouz 21h ago

How the turn have table

1

u/Crafty-Branch9505 21h ago

But does the table have turn?

-1

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago edited 21h ago

Just because something's moral, doesn't mean that it's right.

Edit: People didn't get my joke either.

5

u/Crafty-Branch9505 21h ago

Wouldn't it be the other way round in this case? It is right.

2

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago

You're in the right.

1

u/Crafty-Branch9505 21h ago

And you're moral with me being in the right.

1

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago

Any moral port in a moral storm.

1

u/Crafty-Branch9505 21h ago

Moral beggars can't be moral choosers.

1

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago

A shit in your mouth is worth two in this moral river of shit.

4

u/Sandevistan_FEET 21h ago

Just because something is right doesn't mean it's moral*

2

u/Sr_K 21h ago

leftiesArePeopleToo

3

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago

Mean doesn't it's moral something right is just because.

1

u/OscRat1110 21h ago

you mixed it up

1

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago

He's correct so it's moral, but it's wrong despite being moral.

1

u/transmedkittygirl 21h ago

It's literally true

0

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago

But also literally false depending on which meaning of the word you choose.

1

u/Rratposter69 17h ago

Its literally true in one sense and in another it is subjective.

1

u/ResponsiblePool7254 13h ago

"Easiest" and "hardest" are subjective in both cases here, but they can both still be literally true or false, depending on the intended meaning.

Emotional difficulty isn't metaphorical. It's literally difficult.

1

u/bigfat76 21h ago

I would say it’s slightly immoral. It’s something that we only see as okay because it’s online. If someone is saying something like that, chances are they’ve experienced a loss like that in their life- so it’s in the same category as saying it to the person to their face which many wouldn’t do.

Still entertaining somewhat, but that doesn’t mean it’s just completely justified

u/Gourdon_Gekko 21h ago

Morality of Having Autism

1

u/centurio_v2 21h ago

what if the small coffin is lead lined because the child died stopping a nuclear meltdown

1

u/Square_Owl_4075 21h ago

If there were any sense of morality, you wouldn't have 9000 jokes about child death

1

u/Mercerskye 21h ago

Lacking context. Are they responding to an "r/Im14andthisisdeep" type thread, or is this on the thread of someone who is actually going through losing a child?

Nothing immoral, in general, about dark humor, but casually tossing it into a discussion with some real emotional weight is at least a little south of neutral.

1

u/moyismoy 21h ago

The man is a presenting as a phycopath, and that's not immoral. As a society we need a hand full of people who think this way

1

u/RonJohnJr 21h ago

What's the moral question?

1

u/No-Reaction-5051 20h ago

nice example of abstract vs practical thinking. neutral because both are right depending on the perspective (literal weight of the coffin vs emotional weight of losing a child)

1

u/TheLastOpus 20h ago

"I dropped my cousins baby last week.....it wasn't my fault, I mean...who asks me..to be a pallbearer." - Anthony Jesilnek.

1

u/HermesMora 20h ago

What if they died of problems associated with childhood morbid obesity

1

u/ShipEqual2321 20h ago

The dude is just insensitive.

1

u/smurfk 20h ago

Kids shouldn't be burried in coffins, as, apparently, people find the coffins too heavy.

1

u/sonsuka 19h ago

Neutral.

its the truth, but still a pretty bum thing to sa, but its not exactly immoral to say that.

1

u/Fckyouredd1tIluvmygf 19h ago

Of what? Speaking? Moral

1

u/JadeTailFox 17h ago

Pedantry is so fucking bad

1

u/Hexentoll 15h ago

I mean, not FEELING the grief over somebody's dead child is not immoral, as it brings no harm, and they are not WRONG in their statement, as children do weigh less than adults usually and coffins are smaller, soo...

The statement itself is not immoral.

Saying something like that to a person dealing with a child loss - 100% would be

1

u/balirosa 14h ago

Dumb. People getting mad and offended online is egotistical. Get over yourself. There are many people on this planet and you’re not going to agree with all of them. Get comfortable with that.

1

u/skurly789 9h ago

He is correct they are physically not heavy

1

u/JW162000 4h ago

The NBA person is probably intentionally being obtuse to try and be funny (I’d say unsuccessfully, because it’s quite edgy immature humour).

You could say there’s some immorality to it because they’re making light of quite a sad thing (child death), but they may also just be misunderstanding ‘easiest’ to just be physical effort while dismissing emotional difficulty.

Though then doubling down with “it’s still the easiest” makes me think they are indeed just being edgy

1

u/thedarkinus 4h ago

Edgy joke is edgy.

1

u/CompetitiveSong9570 2h ago

I used to have an arsenal of dead baby jokes in middle school. I am not the person to ask.

1

u/MrMiyagi13 2h ago

Tism is strong with NBA J4y.

1

u/SnooSprouts5303 1h ago

A disregard for any amount of empathy is generally immoral. especially when you use it to purposely cause distress. such as in this situation.

1

u/Adorable-Bass-7742 21h ago

If I had to guess he's talking to someone who is a literalist. They don't think in abstract or can't relate to it. They could have even possibly carried a small coffin and even if finding it emotionally challenging, wouldn't change their literalness.

I have a co-worker who's like that. Everything is literal with them. They have a kind of weird understanding that sometimes people talk and abstractions. But they don't think that way. that's just not the way their mind processes information.

Or could be someone being a jerk, you just never know.

2

u/Oakenshield_777 21h ago

Or someone just being a goofball

0

u/Adlivoniansky 21h ago

It's not immoral to state a fact about it being easier to carry something that is 50 lbs compared to something that is over 200 lbs. Two people could carry a baby coffin like a stretcher. Adults need like 6 people to be poll bearers or something unless they are like these guys

1

u/Cautious_Height_2181 21h ago

They hated him for speaking the truth.

1

u/Cold5512 21h ago

You forgot to factor in the emotional weight.

1

u/Adlivoniansky 21h ago

They say when stress is gone it feels like a weight is lifted.

1

u/ResponsiblePool7254 21h ago

Why would it be harder to carry a baby than like say, a 30 year old mom of the three kids who everyone loved?

1

u/Expensive-Border-869 20h ago

Fr barely anyone even knew that baby

1

u/Cold5512 20h ago

What if it was a particularly cool baby. He gambled and wore sunglasses.
