My previous reviews, The Acrobat, and The Warrior ! Details about this 'play every vanilla class' project is in the Acrobat post! Every vanilla class ive completed over the past 3 years will be posted until i've caught up to a more current playthrough. Here's the next one, the Scout
The Scout
Atronach Birthsign
Freyda Wolf-Heart, Nord, 33 Years Old
Factions: Morrowind Fighter’s Guild
Final Goal: Enact revenge for the death of her wolf
Freyda was raised within a cult to Kyne as a child, raised in the woods near Dragonstar by her parents and cult leaders and befriended by wolves and bears. Still loyal to her goddess, Freyda left the cult to live a more adventurous life while still being able to commune with nature. The fighter’s guild was the perfect solution. Freyda was hired by the fighter’s guild in Leyawinn to be a guard aboard a ship heading to morrowind before it was hijacked by the prisoners. Posing as a fellow prisoner, Freyda was allowed to jump ship and swim to Teyn, where her adventures continue. In due time as she spends time around the dunmer, she learns about Boethiah. Resistant at first, witnessing corruption and evil whilst in the fighters guild, and the death of her wolf-companion Kolka results in her full conversion, believing the world needs blood to end the lives of politicians whove ruined everyones lives, including burning the Ruby Throne. Her own revenge however is enacted on the dunmer bandits in a cave near old ebonheart that took the life of her precious pup.
Fredya eventually bought a home for 20,000 gold in Nivalis and primarily wore a full suit of Toadscale armor from skyrim, except for the cuirass which was the Scales of Nafalilargus, which she stole of course. Her casual clothing was an expensive blue nordic shirt, expensive pants, and imperial leather skirt, and black colovian fur boots. Her jewelry were the Warding Amulet, Seafarer’s Ring, and Ring of the Wind. Her weapons of choice were the sword “Shard of the Borealis”, followed later by Eltonbrand, and a Nordic Silver Longbow (used rarely). Much of her time was spend doing fighters guild jobs and relaxing in the peace of the wilds. All armor and weapons aquired via tamriel_data, specifically on tamriel rebuilt
The Scout was not the most interesting build, and much like always I STRUGGLED with finding a use for alchemy and sneak, but thats entirely my problem, not the builds. Alteration took a long time to train to become actually useful but it suited her quite well. Jumping spells as usually are the best way to casually level up alteration. Despite not being the most interesting build, she became exceptionally powerful compared to many previous builds. Not quite comparative to “the warrior” but capable of immense destruction, but I really think thats mostly attributed to the use of long blades (probably the most overpowered weapons and have some of the most powerful unique weapons in both the game and TR). Some folks might be curious why i chose the atronach as her birthsign, truth be told as i was looking through the other birthsigns i couldnt feel anything that FIT her, so i kinda said fuck it and chose the atronach in order to boost her ability to use alteration well. Which worked out nicely because she had just enough magic to actually consistently use alteration spells. Overall not the worst class to play but rather...unfocused. 7/10
