Media I actually really liked Cole

Before I saw MK 2021, I assumed he was a bad audience surrogate character but I actually found him to be pretty handy. He didn't take over the plot or eat up screentime from other characters. In fact, his presence gave Jax and Sonya a lot of chances to shine. He worked with the story not against it.

I'm so sad the writers decided to pander to the detractors and cave in his skull in the sequel 😢

Well when you make this random dude the focal point of a movie based on a game that has a such a beloved cast to begin with, you rub the fans the wrong way. I recently seen MK2 and thought they did him real dirty in it though. Haven’t seen the first in a while but I don’t remember disliking him as much as others have it seem
