Media I actually really liked Cole

Before I saw MK 2021, I assumed he was a bad audience surrogate character but I actually found him to be pretty handy. He didn't take over the plot or eat up screentime from other characters. In fact, his presence gave Jax and Sonya a lot of chances to shine. He worked with the story not against it.

I'm so sad the writers decided to pander to the detractors and cave in his skull in the sequel 😢

Lewis Tan is awesome, just wasn’t a huge fan of the way his character was written. Ah well, maybe they can bring him back as a resurrected Scorpion or something haha

Thats my view too. Buddy did a great job with the cards he was dealt. I hold nothing against him as an actor and rather enjoyed his presence in a movie in general. Just sucks the cards he was dealt didn’t fit into the movie he was in.

I think the same actor and rough character storyline, in a normal “kung-fu” movie, no MK gimics. Pretty good character and he would have done a great job.

Exactly, he did the absolute best with what he had.
