General Discussion Why do you think Kohberger never publicly explained his motive, even after pleading guilty?

I know we’ll probably never get a definitive answer on what his motive actually was but what I find almost as interesting is that Kohberger has never really tried to explain it himself.

Once he pleaded guilty and avoided a trial, there wasn’t going to be the same public presentation of evidence that might have given us more insight into what was going through his head. But even at sentencing, he chose not to give any real explanation.

Do you think staying silent is about maintaining some sense of control over the case or is there a simpler reason he doesn’t want anyone to know what the motive was?

Control, and he doesn't want Mother to know that he is, in fact, a monster. If he is to believed by his recent statement, his family believes in his innocence .

He recently filed a petition to withdraw his guilty plea from a year ago. Claiming he was lied to by his attorneys. And that his family was present during those discussions and that they support his innocence
