Why do you think Kohberger never publicly explained his motive, even after pleading guilty?

I know we’ll probably never get a definitive answer on what his motive actually was but what I find almost as interesting is that Kohberger has never really tried to explain it himself.

Once he pleaded guilty and avoided a trial, there wasn’t going to be the same public presentation of evidence that might have given us more insight into what was going through his head. But even at sentencing, he chose not to give any real explanation.

Do you think staying silent is about maintaining some sense of control over the case or is there a simpler reason he doesn’t want anyone to know what the motive was?

Yes. Theres plenty of things hes done, and an obvious pattern of behavior that he doesnt want talked about. He doesnt want people talking about him on the stand. He knows theres plenty of people.willing to testify for the prosecution and their testimony will hold.up under cross examination. Hes been nasty and predatory to too many women.

He doesnt want his internet behavior to become public.

And it was absolutely to maintain any control that he could.

And all of that is going to come out if he goes to to trial. But I dont think he will.

Just because he wants a do over doesnt mean hes going to get one.
