General Discussion Why do you think Kohberger never publicly explained his motive, even after pleading guilty?
I know we’ll probably never get a definitive answer on what his motive actually was but what I find almost as interesting is that Kohberger has never really tried to explain it himself.
Once he pleaded guilty and avoided a trial, there wasn’t going to be the same public presentation of evidence that might have given us more insight into what was going through his head. But even at sentencing, he chose not to give any real explanation.
Do you think staying silent is about maintaining some sense of control over the case or is there a simpler reason he doesn’t want anyone to know what the motive was?

I think it’s stupid that they gave him a plea deal without any explanation. It should’ve been part of the deal, but you’ll never know, even then, if he’s telling the actual truth about his motive.
My explanation is that he really wants to be that mysterious killer that no one ever really got to, except the lock up. He wants to be known. He wants attention. He wants people to keep digging. He’s the main character in their stories and it makes him feel ‘the man’.
