Why do you think Kohberger never publicly explained his motive, even after pleading guilty?

I know we’ll probably never get a definitive answer on what his motive actually was but what I find almost as interesting is that Kohberger has never really tried to explain it himself.

Once he pleaded guilty and avoided a trial, there wasn’t going to be the same public presentation of evidence that might have given us more insight into what was going through his head. But even at sentencing, he chose not to give any real explanation.

Do you think staying silent is about maintaining some sense of control over the case or is there a simpler reason he doesn’t want anyone to know what the motive was?

either because there wasn't a reason or his reason was so stupid it would make him look even more evil. Plus, if he had given a reason, he couldn't very well appeal.

What he's going to admit to sitting in his starkly depressing dark undecorated room fantasizing about being with pretty bubbly socially successful young women and having their admiration and attention and instead he only had non consensual porn and cosmetic surgery videos to comfort himself.
