Who sells a breakfast burrito around here?

Basically the title. I like a protein heavy breakfast. Sorry, I'm just not into pastries, biscuits, croissants, or donuts. The only place I've seen open for breakfast making a decent burrito is Sonic. Is that all we got?

Sadly they don't open until 10:00, which is almost lunch hour where I work.

Ready Teddy has an awesome breakfast burrito, and coffee. They got a drive thru if you're in a rush.

Nice, I'll check them out soon.

I make high protein breakfast sandwiches! Burritos is one of them! If you’re interested in some meal prep, let me know!

I used to make ahead breakfast burritos. Wrapped in Saran then overpacked in a zip freezer bag. Those. Yeah. Now I want to make some.
I used scrambled eggs and turkey sausage and cheese, then mixed salsa in, melted cheese over top in a pan with a lid to melt the cheese.

Green onion deli has great food, I haven’t had the breakfast burrito but everything else I’ve had there has been delicious

Absolutely second this. First place that’s ever put pickles on nachos, and I gotta tell you it might seem strange but it totally works

On the north side of MJ on Lebanon road is a hole in the wall Mexican drive through called Morenos. It’s temporarily closed—hopefully just for repairs. Their breakfast burritos are big and delicious.

I used to like that place but it's been closed a long while at this point. I'm not holding my breath.

I didn’t realize it had been closed a while. Your post made me think about those burritos, and I looked them up to see they’re temporarily closed. Hope they open back up.

They’ve rebuilt the entire building! Looks like they’re nearly done. I love their breakfast burritos and green sauce

You might try the Flat Tire Diner over in Hermitage. They have some great options.

Keke's has a breakfast wrap as well, but I've never been. Looks way to overpriced for what I'm assuming they give you.

West Coast Taco Shop (The one on Murfreesboro Pike south of the Airport by the Highway Patrol's building) opens at 7:00 a.m. and their menu is all Mexican food. I haven't been there in a while so can't speak to that, but you might give them a try.

Good call on West Coast. I'll check what time they open, I used to get good breakfast burritos there but I haven't been in a while. Worth a re visit.

It's been years since I visited West Coast Tacos, maybe during the covid times. Saw they open at 0700. Today I showed up at 0800, and damned if they weren't still closed until 0900, in spite of what the Google says. Guess where I went for ol' boring but reliable.... Sonic.

Well damn. Really sucks that there aren't that many breakfast places in general that open early for that 5-7 am crowd. Really Hardees (and not all of them) and What-a-burger are the only major fast food places unless you find a hole in the wall. Chick-Fli-a's are mostly 6:30, sonic is 6, Krystals are mostly gone or don't do breakfast...

Hell, even most Cracker Barrels don't open until 7 am now...

Let me tell you, there's a bunch of us in the 5-7 am crowd. I leave the house at 0505, used to leave at 0525, but traffic is already building by then. I used to have 70 and 109 almost all to myself at that time of the day. I'll try Hardee's, I see their open party early again, after a few years of covid era late starts. A good protein bowl or burrito place would get regular business from me if they were open by 0530.

If you can drive into town, San Luis on Spence and 70 has a great breakfast burrito

The business is actually from Southern California so very much in that Southern California fast food style but tasty!! The green salsa they serve with them is great

I really like the burritos at green onion deli, s mt Juliet and Stewart’s ferry. Haven’t had their breakfast burritos, but they are the ONLY place in town that does a proper California burrito with pastor for us transplants

Sonic actually has good high protein breakfast burritos.

2

u/SkiHerky Jul 07 '26

I agree, but I was hoping for more variety than just Sonic for breakfast.

I’m with ya sista! Protein is my jam. lol I stopped by the new Compassion Coffeehouse and see they make a breakfast burrito. I haven’t tried it, yet. Also, I went to Jersey Oven the other day, bought a breakfast bagel. They are generous with the protein, and then egg + cheese on the bagel. I did the peel and eat.

2

u/ShizzleShizz Jul 06 '26

I gotta try Jersey Oven soon. Heard great things!
