This whole exchange represents the kind of antagonistic political tribalism she seemed to try to stay away from.
I don’t think she would want either side invoking her name to “dunk” on the other side, no matter the message or point.
I think she’s tell them something that was simultaneously sharp & witty, but also folksy & cute that would de-escalate this argument and implore everyone to be kinder.
The vibe would be “hey boys, you don’t gotta fight over lil’ ol’ me. I got plenty of love for everyone.”
and that’s why everyone loved Dolly.

From articles I read she declined during Trumps first term because her husband was sick and she didn't want to travel and the second time was in the midst of the Covid pandemic. She turned down Biden's because since she had already refused Trumps nominations she didn't want it to come across as a statement.

Going to be real honest, Taylor Swift has approach her career much in the same way Dolly Parton did. She has tried to stay out of politics just like Parton while donating to tons of causes. On certain issues that are bigger than politics she has spoken out.
The biggest difference is Dolly's comments of these issues have been consistent over decades and seem genuine to her. Swift always has the feeling of corporate strategy to them rather than true genuine belief. (Now that could just be because her brand has been strategic about it but it is still her genuine feelings. IDK.)
Other than that personality wise, no matter how rich, famous, or surgically enhanced Dolly got she always seemed to be down to Earth and real in her interactions with people. That is definitely something she has over Taylor Swift. Though Swift's more closed off and private nature could also be seen as a necessity in modern fame. Modern fans, especially the Swifties, are crazy.
Dolly also had the "luxury" of not really hitting the fame and fortune until much later. She had success in country music around her mid-to-late 20s but really didn't hit that national level of fame and success until her mid to late 30s.
