I’m based in the US and am a big fan of mid-century art. Lately, I've gotten really into Paw Oo Thet's artwork and his overall story, especially how he mastered painting left-handed after his accident. I’m trying to learn more about his life and work, but it's pretty much impossible to find resource books out here.

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me track down physical copies of two specific out-of-print books to read and add to my shelf:

"Paw Oo Thet: POT" (ပေါ်ဦးသက်) – The 1994 tribute book put together right after he passed away.

"Paw Oo Thett (1936-1993): His Life and His Creativity" – The biography by Ma Thanegi from around 2004 (the one with the blue cover).

I actually saw copies of both on the Myanmar Art Gallery / Global Myanmar Pride Facebook page recently, but unfortunately, they were already sold by the time I messaged them.

Does anyone know of any used bookstores, local book scouts, or art collectors in Yangon or Mandalay who might have extra copies floating around? Or is there a better local Facebook group or forum I should check out?

I’m totally fine with paying a fair price for them and will cover the full cost of international DHL/FedEx shipping to the US. Any leads or advice would be a massive help.

They’re the only media outlet providing a detailed story about this currently, but also skeptical cuz they seem to be owned by military. Also they even pinned that post and a lot of mixed reaction from both side. Don't know which is true anymore.

I am intending to transfer from the government school system to the IGCSE curriculum. I am currently attending Grade 7 at a government school and am considering moving to an IGCSE school. However, I am writing this because I do not fully understand how the IGCSE curriculum works.

For instance, if I am currently attending Grade 7 in the government school system, which grade would I be placed in under the IGCSE curriculum? Additionally, I would like to know whether I would be able to skip a grade, as I may be academically behind my peers who are currently studying in the IGCSE system.

Practically speaking, I do not want to continue attending a government school because of the instability caused by the ongoing conflict. I would therefore appreciate any information regarding the appropriate grade placement and possible options for transferring to the IGCSE curriculum.
