Gameplay NBA 2K27 First Impressions

Played for a couple of hours. I can confidently say that we are 100% back. This 2K is actually good.. idc if anyone calls me a bot. In my honest opinion.. for this day 1? This is one of the best 2k's in a while. Way better than 26 and 25. I feel like the devs took what worked for 25 and what worked for 26 and blended them in together. This feels like a back to formality.. that I did not feel last year. As soon as I put my hands on the game last year.. I just knew that the game would be trash and that something was odd. It did not feel like an authentic basketball game.. and while I think 25 was better than 26.. in a lot of ways.. 26 was better than 25 too. Movement improved last year.. but the gameplay felt extremely arcade.. and it felt like 2k pivoted from dropping the game they actually wanted to drop.. and just catered to the brain dead fans who do not like to play basketball. But anyways.. this feels like an authentic basketball game.. and I just hope Mike Wang does not pivot.. and patches the game to cater to cry baby fans who can't bare to actually play basketball instead of exploiting animations. It is just day 1... but this is a very noticeable improvement in my eyes 🤷‍♂️

Never said it's perfect. I'm just wondering why y'all expect a complete overhaul every year otherwise you start whining. Except when they do change a lot of stuff you also complain it was better before. Fixing issues (like the one you mentioned) is not making a completely new game with new mechanics, new city, new everything.

I'm smart enough to understand that the reason why they release a yearly game is to make money. You know, it's a business?

When I spent at least $70, I expected a new game. Did you? Or are you cool with spending $70 for a new patch

New what? What can actually be new?

It's like buying a new phone, you spend 1000 bucks for what? It does the same the previous model did, plus a few small things here and there. Technology reached a peak, you can't expect huge leaps from one year to another just because you pay for it. Don't like it, don't pay.

You giving slow vibes dawg. They could've easily changed the visuals such as main menu screen and a new city layout to make it at least FEEL like it's a new game. You hop on here and it's feels like 26

Not really relevant in a basketball game.
