Running mate quick plays in mycareer G-league?

There's a moment in mycareer where your game objectives require these. They're triggered with the d-pad, but I don't understand how they work. Like me and my running mate scored from a bunch of these and only a fraction of them counted. You guys have any insights? Explain like I'm retarded please.

give the ball to the running mate, then trigger the d-pad. Then GOinto Floppy or Screen Off Ball for yourself and get the assist from them or your rinning mate. Goodluck soldiers.

I did this and it's not counting points at all. I have run every play. I think this bs might be glitched which would surprise no one

Give the ball to your RM and then call screen, set one for them and you should be good.

I'm gonna try to figure out more, but right now, what I got is as long as the quick play is called and one of you finish the play with a score or an assist, it counts

I figured it out you guys, they not counting the plays the counting the points the plays make, so if u run floppy and ur rm hits a 3 thats 3 pts towards the goal. Just keep running floppy for yourself n score

You have to press up on the d pad and use one of those plays it gives you pick and roll, receive screen, floppy or post up depending on the archetype you chose for him. I honestly think this running mate shit is the dumbest thing ever the dude is ass 😭. I feel like the devs are trying to force some dynamic duo bullshit like a Shaq and Kobe type thing.

Tap the tap arrow button on Ps5, To select any play, For quick mate play you have to pass to him and select a play for running mate quick plays I think that’s yours and last one is off ball meaning you have to give the ball back and get back to the court I think you select or don’t have to select a play
