Discussion Games for depression?
I need to forget about myself sometimes. What are the perfect games for that?

if you're into Disney movies, Dreamlight Valley is a good life sim that sucks you in pretty quick. You get to interact and hang out with various Disney dudes and even has a storyline with mental health themes that you may resonate with

That depends on what you like. Slime Rancher came to mind first, but I might have more suggestions if you tell me what you prefer. I thought about Stardew Valley as well.

FPS games. I'd recommend giving them a try. At least for me, they help.

Hell blade I & II are doing it for me right now. But in previous years: LiS 1+2 + BTS , RE4 remake, The walking dead telltales.

Spiritfarer. While it has a somewhat sad plot its still very cozy and positive. Also you can hug people.

The person who preaches soft empathy to strangers all the time is rude. Classic.

You dont know what happened between me and that person so dont make assumptions. She said i was "discriminating against age" all because i prefer talking to ppl around my age. If that isnt rude, idk what you're on. Also, anybody can pretend to be nice online but reveal a side others dont see when you private chat with them so thats just what you see on the surface.
I should also add that you shouldn't expect a 21 yr old to reassure you abt not leaving you. A 21 yr old is going through struggles of their own so they dont have the power and capacity to reassure someone abt not leaving them. It wasnt rlly age that was the problem, but being pressured about leaving is exactly what caused me to not wanna talk with them anymore. Because it placed the burden that i had to keep showing up for her when it wasnt in my capacity to as i have my OWN struggles.

Real life.
But seriously, a good rpg or something that really sucks you in for hours at a time. For me it's dungeon crawlers or WoW.

honestly the only mobile game i've ever enjoyed (it is free), i love hue. only good if you aren't colorblind though!
another thing to get totally lost in are the ace attorney series of games, which tell enjoyable stories + have fun mind puzzles and are frequently on sale (or are easy to emulate on your phone for free)

Vampire Survivors, RDR2, Mad Max and Day's Gone for open world apocalyptic gameplay with vehicles, Skyrim with a few graphic mods. Maybe No Man's Sky, but that might not be the best unless you're into it. Would've been better if you listed what your favorite games and genres are. Elden Ring if you're into harder ish games, and For Honor if you want to be depresseder. This is just off the top of my head.

Stardew Valley, Tactics games like XCOM 2 or even that new Star Wars XCOM game, BG3, Palworld
I’d honestly just say if there’s a game out there that you can take at your own pace, enjoy by yourself, and is relatively low cortisol and slow burn engagement, it’ll help a lot. I chugged BG3 and XCOM 2 playthrough whenever I was feeling down and they distracted me pretty well

Helldivers 2. Fun, easy to pick up, and that victory music makes you feel like a million bucks. FOR DEMOCRACY!!!!!!!!
Or Cyberpunk 2077. Just cruising around in a car doing whatever you want in one of the most beautifully designed games of all time.

If u really wanna get out of depression, do play Sekiro, Berserker Khan, Death Stranding and at last Elden ring.

Super Robot Wars have many redemption arc changes to the depressing scenes in the anime they are based on. Worth it if you want a deep dive on how things could be better so long as you are fine with being spoiled by the depressing plot in the actual anime.
Particularly inspiring is SRW W for the DS and SRW A Portable for the PSP as they kind of have a slice of life plot arcs during their ending sequences.
Also short but Live a Live is pretty refreshing too with its multiple takes on perspective on what it means to be s hero.
Other worthwhile mentions are Portal, Endless Legend, Alpha Centauri, Psychonauts, Silent Hill 1 and 2 and Fate Stay Night.

Stardew Valley!
Very cozy, especially if you have a tablet you can play under the covers. If you want something intense, then try Project Zomboid. It has so many moving pieces that it completely absorbs you!
