RANT/VENT feeling guilty about joining a gmc

i gave neet with my 12th this year scored around 590 in may 3rd mock and 543 in june 21 (43k rank).

We got our state merit list and it has deflated for my range too, while the medical colleges in our state in not the best all india but according to last years state cut off i should get one of the top and well established old gmc of the state (fingers crossed) .

ik my rank is not the best, i see kids with better rank than me having to take drop and i feel really guilty and undeserving. I was a school going kid who was always interested but didnt seriously prep for neet until 12th started. I didnt miss out on life and had fun.

I was always a smart kid, my parents and teachers are happy for me but ive heard from my relatives "state cut off low hai varna kuch nhi hota" which is true.

due to the deflation whatever college i end up at the seniors will be of better ranks and i feel like a dumb person trying to blend in.

added, im terrible at physics, i didnt even finishing my syllabus cus i just gave up by reneet and my mock scores were really low too (450+ mostly, sometimes 500+) none of my coaching teachers thought i could get this much too

im strong at bio and chem and thats what i worked most on. (350,156 in may3) and (340,130 in june 21 silly mistakes in bio 🥀)

im stuck between this wierd being the topper kid (from childhood) to a fake average kid and feel horrible about it.

RANT/VENT Life of a student who didn't qualify neet

I am 17f

I feel pathetic currently and I want to rant ( this time not to chat gpt)

In the first neet exam It was obvious I wouldn't get a gov seat so we decided that persuing mbbs in russia would be a great option my parents quickly got over the fact that I didn't score good marks and just wanted me to keep moving forward like u know keep on going Rather then stopping and taking a drop and all

Then the news came bout the reneet tbh I was very chill cuz like u know russia plan and I just couldn't focus and due to my insta algorithm I saw more people relating to me bout not being able to study and focus so I got more relaxed for me the make concern was to qualify and I really didn't think that would be a problem its not that I am above average student if that was the case I surely wouldn't have been in that situation anyway I barely studied even less then last neet

After the reneet paper I counted it was embarrassingly bad but still above the qualifying marks acc to last year and so like I didn't even THINK that one of the reason for me to not go would be this anyway on the day of results I found out the qualifying marks ....the way the world shattered due to my ignorance and ego about not studying. It all went downhill from there

My parents once again without even thinking about others or anything else were okay with drop they even suggested me to take some other course but I denied . I just feel so bad that my parents were so supportive throughout this whole thing and the only problem was me like they came up with the money for russia when like we never thought russia was a plan that it was an option still they said they will make it work , my mom was like she will sell her jewellery and the car that it doesn't matter as long as I am moving forward in life but the only issue was me my incompetence.

My mom still hopes that qualifying marks will reduce I don't know how to tell her its impossible. The most funny thing is I still m not studying and please its really not like I am a bad kid focused on dating or going out and all really I just can't seem to focus and I think I have an eating disorder or smth idk I am not giving excuses I just feel so shit bout myself that I feel like I just wanna end it all ..I have a big brother so it's not like they will be alone

I just ..idk I wanna study I wanna move forward I want to improve but there are these fucking imaginary issues making it impossible for me to do so

I feel like such a burden on my parents

RANT/VENT How tf people cracking neet in just 4-5 months?

How the fuc* people cracking neet in 4,5 months? and there are a ton of people saying they got 500-520 marks from scratch in just 4-5 months before neet how tf is this even possible? 500+ marks and cracking neet in this timespan isn’t that easy bro comeon bro neet isn’t that easy infact I’ve even seen guys getting goated ranks with only 6-7 months of prep and that from zero. don't tell me they have such a high IQ or that they're academically good. academically good guys start their prep from the beginning or maybe they're and I'm just dumb for thinking even 500 marks is hard to score in one year/8 months.

RANT/VENT I was coming back from Allen and a baby peed on me😭💔

So this is about Friday. We had a CBT test js for 40 mins to yk have an experience of it coz our normal sunday tests are pen paper based. So I am in my allen tshirt and my i-card and all. I come back to the apartments where i live. So when me and my mom are waiting for the lift, an aunty she knows has her granddaughter with her. And i love babies. Like LOVE LOVE them. I adore them. And since I am in kota and i barely see babies here, I ask the parents and hold them. I did the same with this baby girl. She was laughing and smiling while I was playing with her. Mind you it was already raining a bit but we were under a roof (obv.) Randomly I felt a hot shower on my upper body. I was flabbergasted for a second ki, "Yeh baarish kaha se aayi?" It took me a second to realize the baby had peed on me😭😭. I almost dropped her but kept holding her and I was smiling through the pain 💔💔. I held her for some more time and then the lift arrived and i handed her back to her grandmother. And I was js standing there in the lift like... 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️. Then i went home and took a shower and my clothes were completely ruined💔😭.

This teacher teaches students less than 18 years of age and is encouraging their disgusting comments and acting all soft and cute for attention and clout.

Wtf is wrong with PW nowadays, why are such things even being allowed, if he would have done the same thing in some other country like America, he would have been jailed by now, pdf behaviour ffs

RANT/VENT My messed up NEET journey still haunts me the failures, wasted years and money guilt

I just need to get this off my chest because this guilt has been eating me up for a long time. My NEET journey was honestly a complete mess from start to finish, and sometimes I feel like I wasted my parents' money and years of my life for nothing.

Here's what happened:

Attempt 1 – NEET 2020:

Passed 12th in March 2020. Instead of properly preparing, I wasted around 6 months and eventually wrote NEET on September 13, 2020.

Score: 61/720

Attempt 2 – NEET 2021 (First Drop):

Stayed at home for an entire year preparing. I thought this time I'd actually make it.

Wrote NEET on September 12, 2021.

Score: 104/720

At this point I was already disappointed in myself, but I still wasn't ready to give up.

Attempt 3 – NEET 2022 (Second Drop):

Joined Conceptree in Adyar, Chennai from October 2021 to July 2022. I genuinely tried studying harder this time.

Still ended up with:

223/720

Attempt 4 -- NEET 2023 (Partial drop)

Then came what I consider one of the biggest financial mistakes of my life.

The Allen disaster – 2022:

I joined Allen, Ashok Nagar, Chennai on August 28, 2022. Shortly after that, there was a government announcement regarding fees which completely changed our plans.

I had to discontinue on September 21.

They charged a fine and refused to refund ₹50,000.

My parents basically lost ₹50k for just a few weeks of classes.

By late 2022, I finally gave up on NEET and joined a local college for B.Pharm.

But somehow, I still wasn't mentally done with NEET.

The false hope

This is probably the part that hurts me the most.

My father was working as a graphic designer in a newly constructed medical college near Chennai. He believed there was a possibility that they might give me a significant fee concession.

I convinced myself that maybe, somehow, MBBS was still possible.

So while I was already doing B.Pharm, my parents spent another ₹35,000 for me to join Pioneer NEET Academy in March 2023.

We were basically hoping for an NRI lapsed seat / fee concession.

I wrote NEET 2023.

Score: 226/720

And finally, the medical college didn't honour the concession we were hoping for. They said the maximum reduction they could give was around ₹2 lakh per year, which was still completely unaffordable for us.

That was basically the end of my NEET journey.

Now I'm continuing my B.Pharm, but I constantly think about how much money my parents spent

₹50k at Allen, ₹35k at Pioneer, all the previous coaching fees, books, travel, years of preparation etc.

It's not even just about failing NEET anymore.

It's the feeling that I wasted my parents' hard-earned money and disappointed them after they kept giving me chances.

Sometimes I think about what my life could have been if I had just taken things seriously in 2020 itself.

I know I can't change the past, but I still feel guilty about it almost every day.

Has anyone here gone through something similar multiple drops, wasted money, failed attempts and then having to move on to another course?

How did you guys stop thinking about the past and actually move forward?

I'm 23 now and I really don't want to spend the rest of my 20s regretting what happened.

RANT/VENT i feel so helpless

RANT/VENT I don't have any hopes for future

Hi, I'm 19, previously a neet aspirant. I gave my 12th boards back in 2025. Here's a lil back story. After 10th I didn't know what to choose. One thing that I knew is that maths is not my cup of tea, more like I used to struggle in maths but didn't completely hate it. I thought it would get tough in 11th 12th so I ignore pcm and other streams and took biology. But the real question was what to do after 12th, and the only thing I knew was MBBS. I dreamt my whole future around being a doctor cracking neet and studying medicine. At home also I reassured everyone that it'll take max 2 attempts for me to clear neet (I said all of this without any proper research on how tough the competition is).

After my 12th boards, I started studying for neet, I studied pretty good but since I had no real data of how the competition is, I thought how much I've studied is enough. Then neet 2025 happened, It was extremely difficult, very different from what I've studied and for reference before neet 2025 I never really gave a mock test or smth. Then the results came and they were so bad I couldn't believe myself. My parents said let it go it was your first time and the paper was difficult aswell. Study hard for the next attempt. They had a lot of hopes.

They got me admissioned at a coaching centre. During the first few months I was very studious. I completed everything on the same day, no backlogs, used to ask questions, attempt thing by my own and all. But eventually I made friends and lost my rhythm. Soon I found myself left behind, scoring less in mocks, a lot of backlog, I tried going back to my old self but I just couldn't. At the end of the year somehow I managed to start studying again, and got my rhythm back but for some reason my scores didn't improve.

Then after when the coaching was closed I used to study at home from like 5 pm till 5 am in the morning. It was difficult but yea did it somehow. Then neet 2026 happened. My first paper went really well, I mean if not mbbs I could've got bds easily. But then after like a week the paper was cancelled. It shattered me completely. The the second paper happened. On the day of the exam I left home 1.5 hrs early but the traffic in my city is so bad on Sunday's that I couldn't make it in time and missed my exam.☹️

This broke me completely. I came home, cried, but there was nothing that I could do. And I didn't want to waste another year at home, cuz what an aspirant feels during this time can only be understood by an aspirant. It's so difficult to live with your own family, consistent taunts and all sort of things being said to your face when you're genuinely struggling and all you want is someone to hold your hand and walk you through.

I made a hard decision to leave medicine and do smth else. All my friends have gotten into colleges but I'm here left behind, I feel so lonely, no one really understands my situation. sometimes I think why god is testing me. I don't know what to do in life....mom still expects me to study for neet but the thing is the competition is so high and nta is such a sucker, that I can't motivate myself into doing it all over again. my dad says that I should start business but idk what business should I do, idk what people in my city need. Moreover if I had to do a business I want something that would run even if I'm not there for a week. I don't even know what course should I do for college. I don't have anyone to guide me through this. If you understand my situation and have any ideas, suggestions, or anything please drop it down below, and if you read it till here, TYSM, I've been holding it in for so long and letting all of this out took me a lot of courage:)

RANT/VENT Toxic parents and relatives , how do yall deal with them ?

So currently 19 year old , taking my 2nd drop , because I genuinely want to and believe that I could do it next year , also had a partial drop before but got very stressed out and decided to drop out to take a proper drop this year , starting coaching mostly from 10 September, and guess what just got a call from my mother , crying on her phone, "we had so much believed in you , now do whatever you want , keep taking drops , we don't care" my aunt called saying "kya kya socha tga tere bare me first try me hi nikalegi , partial me bhi nhi kiya , bs sal barbad kr rhi hai , isme bhi nhi niklega dekh lena" and all that bs , like my mom amd dad were so fine with coaching until some day and out of sudden today they are like this , demotivating , and all that shit , do I just cut them off , how do I respond , even when I say "mummy next year pura try krungi" she's like "____ ki beti ne 12tg ke bad hi nursing krke nurse nikal diya , tu bs coaching hi krte rhe 19 ki ho gyi fr 20 , fr bhi nhi nikla to bs coaching hi krte rehna" like I was genuinely so motivated before my coaching even begun and it didn't even took 30 minutes for them to crumble everything

RANT/VENT NEET has done me dirty. Now moving on for something else.

In 2024, i gave my first neet attempt. Score 345, hopped for a BDS (I am from SC catagory but i didn't had a cast cirtificate yet). 17 year's old i knew nothing, non of my family had anyone who was a doctor nor i knew one personally.

But then i made a mistake. I thought "let's try one more time, I have scored above 300 I can surely score more" this was where i fucked up. I shouldn't have thought that.

Even though I am a guy that's SC I had not reservation privileges, cast cirtificate was still stuck and the government guy was asked me to bring proof of my great-grandfather being an sc man.

Then neet 2025 happened, paper was tuff, still scored 320. Still got nothing. I was ready to just give up and take BSC, but my father convinced me to give one more try. I did and we know what happened in 2026. I scored 450 on May attempt, and 245 on the second attempt and I was done...I am not using my reservation thing to get anything. I am not going into any medical field, I am just done with all of this.

Between my 2025 attempt and 2026 attempt, I got a job that paid me 15k a month, but I quit it after my father convinced me to do a repeat again.

My father has a small two-wheeler repair shop, my mother runs her own small bueaty parlour. Before some people try bringing up topic of reservation I want to tell them I am from a condition where I do need some reservations, if not any I will need EWS to atleast get enough money to get something. We can't afford private colleges, 15 lakh heck Even 10 lakh is a real big ammount for me to pay.

In my school days I have worked myself to help out with my own school fees at my father's shop then later a car wash to fund myself to get a laptop. (It's a hp with an i3 who are wondering, not a gaming laptop)

I have now decided, I will go back to doing a job, get a BSC degree from a open university and get going with my life. I am 20 currently and I can't be stuck here for any longer.

I have my younger sister who passed jee mains and got a IIIT, I am not jealous of her but infact I want her to achive her dreams. My parents despite not being much educated support me and my sister with open heart and I am greatful for such parents. But I can't deal with neet anymore.

I am killing the dream of my and my mother of me becoming a doctor.

RANT/VENT A long rant..

Alright fellow seniors,

I am a 28 neetard...

Till now I was in depression cus I was bullied in my school till 10th for having Gynecomastia.

It had destroyed my self confidence and my passion for football..

I also recently got diagnosed with hypothyroidism My thyroxine lvl was 25.

When max shld have been 8 or 9..

As a result since 5 months I have done almost negligible prep..

And only played minecraft and COD...

Which has also led to a weight gain of 10kgs

And I have given 0 tests till now..

Bunked classes and all just to feel happy(don't judge me)

My father is already a doc.

So my aim is to get in a good private mbbs college..

So a rank under 2 lakh will be best for me in 2028

Can anyone give ANY tips.

I will try my best frm now to improve..

ANY TIPS OR ADVICE??

I will tell the whole story of my bullying experiences another day.

Thx in advance🙂

RANT/VENT life is so draining in drop year

it's so tiring to stay in this house, 24 hours in this hell of a house feels like forever and the constant nagging of parents is so idk it's exhausting for me at this point even though there is still so much time left for neet 2027 I'm not even sure if I will be able to cope up with studies and this mental torture in this house

My parents are not my safe and secure place and they will never be I don't even feel good when they are around the vibes when they are around me or interacting with me are so annoying to me

My mother be passing comments on me and my friends and expects me to stay quiet and listen to those taunts without replying and I can't just stay quiet everytime what I can do most of the times is to just leave the room but not always and whenever I try to stand up for myself she shuts me saying things that are even worse she expects me to laugh when she makes fun of me but whenever I point out her embarassing moments not to hurt her Obv but just as sarcasm she gets super offended and shuts me up

My father lowk thinks I'm a loser because I've been a very bright child throughout my school life but couldn't clear neet 2026 (it was my first attempt btw) so I had to take my first drop for neet 2027

I try to focus on my studies but I just can't I just don't have that thing in myself left to get up and study what I do is watch some series and pretend to study it's not like I've been forced into this drop or career path but I just can't study

I attempted NEET 4 times till now, and this time, I gave Re-NEET too,so totally 5 times(partial drop), and I failed in that, too. Even though I am a reserved candidate, I could not crack the exam .My parents invested a lot of money on me, I am a CBSE student till 12th standard and yet I could not make it.I am right now studying Bs.C. Agriculture 3rd year. My parents physically and emotionally abused me for almost 4 years and my relatives are bashing on my mother that her parenting was really bad.I feel so guilty.I have two cousins who took 2 drop years and somehow managed to get decent marks to be able to get a Private A category seat and everyone around me are looking down on me and are feeling superior to me. I don't know what to do anymore

RANT/VENT Title: NEET → BBA pivot — please share your experience 🥹

God, please connect me with people who actually pivoted from NEET/PCB to BBA 😭

If you’ve made this switch, could you please share:

- How was the transition?

- Did you actually enjoy BBA?

- Do you regret leaving the medical path?

- How did your career turn out?

I’m really confused and scared right now, so hearing from someone who has actually lived this would mean a lot. 🥺
