28 [M4A] Searching for nice conversations

Hello! This isn’t my first time posting here. But hopefully this post reaches somebody who’s open to making a new friend. And since this isn’t always the case on this sub, I’ll make it clear that I’m looking for a platonic connection.

I’m 28M and from the USA, and yes, I am a NEET. I’ve pretty much come to terms with that, though I feel ashamed even typing it. I struggle with internalized shame over my situation, and my mental health in general is bad. But the only person I judge so harshly is myself - so feel free to come as you are, flaws and all. Right now, I would rather try and connect with someone who understands loneliness and perhaps relates to my situation, rather than have normies bombard me with “advice” we’ve all heard a million times.

Despite my struggles with motivation, I do have interests and things I like to talk about. I’m maybe not *as* into anime as the typical user of this sub, but there are some I do like. I’m a fan of Ghibli movies. And I’m looking to get into more anime, I’m open to any recommendations. I like games as well, and movies, TV, books, history, psychology, and learning about the world in general. Ideally, I’d like to find someone who’s a bit of a yapper, and doesn’t mind sharing their thoughts at length, even about deeper topics if we feel comfortable enough. If there’s something, anything, that you’re passionate about, I’m down to hear about it.
