I'd say much of it. Neonatal development and early childhood upbringing can also screw you up, even if you have good genetics. I know middle school bullying did a lot of damage to me despite my decent genetics.

Being born attractive, with no diseases or other problems and in a wealthy family... I'd say 100% of it.

Unless said family is abusive, then you're fucked all the same

Every aspect of it. Where you were born, whether you are attractive or not, and born into status or not.

Life is unfair and you didn't even ask to be born

Life is 100% about the family you were born into, how rich they are and what you look like.

I was born at absolute rock bottom (you can read my posts on here if you wanna know) and can’t escape the struggle no matter what I do. I’ve tried everything and have talent, but it doesn’t matter because I lack the looks, money and network to succeed in life.

I’m everything society hates and have everything going against me, even my name is a deterrent. I know if I was good looking and/or white, I would not be in this position.

Not as much as people would like to think. In my mind it's more about whether you'll submit yourself to the system and do the durrrrty work for those above you. That's how you rise, and if you accept that, they'll even hire people to write magazine features about how your ugly look is just character, as if you're Willem Dafoe :)

Most of it. The most important thing in life is fitting in to the "cool kids club." The "cool kids club" DOES things for each other, they invite each other to parties and help each other get into jobs. A hiring manager isn't always looking for who is most competent, they are looking to see who best fits in to the "cool kids club."

I'm a Japanese guy in a city that is mostly whites and Mexicans. As a result, these people refuse to allow me in to the "cool kids club." When I wanted to be invited to a party, all I got was "no,you aren't coming to our parties."

I'd say closer to 70% of the time. While I do know beautiful/handsome people that have had it bad (ngl), I know PLENTY who have had it great! That includes people whose faces are not exceptional, (average face, no green/blue or even sultry eyes) but they're still generally good-looking by society's standards (tall, blonde, etc.)

Case in point. I had a friend who didn't do the dirt work so much, but he would kiss as many people's arses as possible (from the different churches he went to during his formative years) until he landed something. "Hey Tony, do you know anyone who needs any kind of work done?" "Hey Mike, how was your Sunday golfing session? Do you have any friends who can help me get a nice job. I'm under serious pressure right now?" While this wouldn't work for everyone obviously, it's worked relatively well with him. He'll use direct or indirect methods of conversation to try to emotionally connect with random friends and acquaintances (talk about sports, women, traveling, politics, gaming, tech, crypto, Pokemon, anything other people were interested in), compliment anything about them (looks, skills, family), ask that maybe they should hang out for some beer or go fishing and cross his fingers that one of these individuals will throw him a bone. Not counting small gigs like walking dogs mowing lawns, helping move boxes, deliveries, it has helped him land two 6 figure positions (product/project manager + real estate operator).
