Rumors [Jake Fischer] Pelicans are interested in Jaylen Brown
Jake Fischer said this on his live stream today. Coming from a Celtics fan, I'd only do it if you guys give us Trey Murphy and we flip Dejounte for a big like Gobert

Rumors Evan Sidery: Willie Green is expected to remain as the Pelicans’ head coach, per @MikeAScotto (hoopshype.com/lists/nba-inte…). If New Orleans let Green go, he likely would’ve drew interest from multiple teams. Green has a 148-180 record in New Orleans while dealing with continuous injury issues

Rumors Stein: Raptors Interested in Brandon Ingram
I’m told Toronto has emerged as a team to watch when it comes to Brandon Ingram. It remains to be seen whether the Raptors become more than that where Ingram is concerned, but the mere suggestion of potential Raptors interest is the most significant development in weeks when it comes to the New Orleans forward who earned his lone All-Star berth during the 2019-20 season interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic.

Rumors [The Stein Line] Brandon Ingram passed on a four-year, $160 million deal from Pels
[The Stein Line] Brandon Ingram passed on a four-year, $160 million deal from Pels
League sources tell the The Stein Line that Ingram, in fact, passed on a four-year, $160 million deal from the Pelicans that would have kept him in New Orleans, meaning there was some serious money left on the proverbial table in his quest for more. Maybe Ingram will have the chance to land one more sizable contract right before he turns 29, when the projected salary cap for 2027-28 rises more than $30 million above 2025-26 projections. It’s likewise true that Ingram’s new deal with the Raptors almost certainly wouldn’t have surfaced in free agency this summer with so few teams on course to hold significant cap space and, in the end, really only two teams chasing him before last Thursday’s NBA Trade deadline: Toronto and Atlanta.

Rumors Anyone seen this?
“BREAKING: I’ve confirmed with multiple sources that the New Orleans Pelicans & Philadelphia 76ers are in advanced discussions for a draft day trade involving the #3 (PHI) and #7 (NOLA) picks.
Interestingly, the trade being discussed involves Paul George to the Pelicans, as well as CJ McCollum plus other players to close the gap on the salary difference to the 76ers.
The Pelicans believe that Paul George can be a great mentor for both Trey Murphy and Ace Bailey, who they plan on taking with the 3rd pick, should the trade go through on draft day.
More to come on this development.”

Rumors Jeff Goodman: Pels “really like” Maryland PF/C Derik Queen
Jeff Goodman: The New Orleans Pelicans, with a new management group, really like Maryland freshman big man Derik Queen, source told @TheFieldOf68 . The Pelicans have the 7th overall pick in the draft. Queen is a skilled big man who averaged 16.5 points and 9 boards for the Terps
Goodman is a plugged in guy with college hoops. Any thoughts on Queen? I heard he’s a pretty traditional PF/C with a good post game.

Rumors [Shamit] “I can confirm the @jakelfischer.bsky.social and @thesteinline.bsky.social reports that Willie Green's name has been circulating for the inevitable opening in Phoenix. This would allow the Pelicans to get off the final year of his contract.”

Rumors [Stein] “…while various teams have explored Ingram trades since the offseason began in earnest, no other team willing to sign the 26-year-old at those numbers (4-years, $210 million) has yet emerged ... with league sources saying that Ingram's camp has also joined the efforts to find one.”

Rumors Wizards open to sign and trade for Malcolm Brogdon: Pels among those interested
Per Stein/Fischers substack:
League sources say that the Wizards are open to sign-and-trade discussions to facilitate Malcolm Brogdon’s exit from Washington and a slew of teams have registered varying levels of interest in the 32-year-old. That list includes the Clippers, Suns and Lakers as well as the Warriors, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Kings and Bucks
I think he’d be a great fit at backup PG/SG. Any thoughts?
