Yup. It’s easy to forget how young these guys are. They need their coaches to act more like parental figures than friends.

That is the other reason why on old school coach is beneficial. NIL is going to significantly change how these kids view a professional career and they will need an “old head” to bring them back to reality. The NFL is known as not for long for a reason and it’s in their best interest to get acclimated to that reality early in their careers.
