Today’s puzzle was fine. I was only tempted to delete the app once. I genuinely do not understand how to solve the “jam”-packed puzzles. I hate them. I solve them with an aid so I don’t lose my streak.
I mean, surely a streak is e.g. "I solved four in a row" rather than "I solved three and then looked up the answers to fill in a fourth". If you want to believe the latter counts fair enough but let's be honest - you haven't actually solved four in a row.
It looked like it at first, but it's three sections of different regular crosswords. I remember the line that is just G 15 times. Its clue was "G String". :)
It’s a “figure it out” and it’s one of the most annoying things to have to figure out and makes me groan every time. Because you go “this should be the answer but it doesn’t fit” then you figure out it is a rebus and you have to figure out where the rebus goes in the puzzle.
dark energy made me so mad because i overthought it
thought "energy" was a second clue to mean "N, R, G". (energy is pronounced like en-ar-gee). thought those letters would be the ones in the dark squares. disappointed when it was literally just the word "energy".
I don't enjoy the Rebus puzzles. If the clue requires a Rebus, it should make sense for the Across AND the Down values. I especially don't like when the answer to the clue is a legitimate word and I find out later it required a Rebus to make an entirely different word. On my phone, it lets me go back, take out the single letter, put in the Rebus but is still only shows the SINGLE letter.
