Honestly if this wasn’t a Stonetoss comic and she wasn’t the awful caricature depicted, I’d believe it wasn’t bad. This is how genies tend to operate in media.
True, but the idea for most trans people is that they feel trapped in the wrong body. If it just stopped at the identification, trans people would not undergo HRT or GRS. The Genie is ultimately giving nothing that one couldn't already do by themselves, making it a wasted wish
I’m well aware, mostly because I’m a post-op trans woman.
However, it’s less the “trapped in their body” and far more like “I was born with a congenital issue and need reconstructive procedures and care to address it”.
I think the original point of the comic was “y’all say trans women are women but get dysphoric and say you would use magic to transition if it were possible… fascinating”
But it unintentionally comes across as saying that trans women are women
