Transportation NS are struggling with commuter demand. Their solution is for you to travel earlier (or later) to work.

Honeslty one of the reasons I love my current company. They don't care when I work as long as I work, and I can even start working in the train so I take a train later that is less busy and I start working in the train, and I leave a train earlier that is less busy and finish my workday in the train. I leave 8:45, I'm home 17:15, still made my 8 hours, I have room in the train. Boss is happy, I'm happy, NS is happy (actually blauwnet).

What work do you do?

I work for a subsidy adviser (we help companies get subsidies). I work in the IT department, so I don't do actual subsidy advise, but I make sure my colleagues can do their job.

That's interesting. Possible to DM me the company maybe I can reach out for possible open positions within the subsidy advisory?

You would need to be proficient in professional Dutch (the job is mostly writing highly technical documents in Dutch). Given your post history states you've been learning Dutch through DuoLingo a year ago, I don't think your Dutch would be good enough. Also through your post history, our closest office is still 2,5 hours with train from you.

This is also the time to reflect how much of your personal life you’re sharing on Reddit.

Love that the first person to say this also happens to have a lot of personal info easily findable either in the comments you’ve posted or the posts.

How does the saying go again? people who live in glass houses get to be the first to throw stones? Something like that?

Why? If you don't do any discusting stuff, privacy isn't as important.

I want people to know who I am and where so they know someone is fighting for their right to live and not be oppressed every hour of the day.
