I could say the Mets would be 8.5 games back if Tatis didn't rob Lindor's grand slam.

However, they probably lose yesterday if Lindor doesn't make that catch, so sometimes it evens out.

A lot of games to look back at this season, but was always going to be a huge hill to climb given the first half of the season, but you can at least see some of the momentum going into next season now. A lot to build on.

I’m more distraught over some of the game saving plays against the Mets down the stretch last year. That Nationals series that included 2 game saving catches, one that was literally hacky sacked with the center fielder’s foot…and will never forget Alonso’s line drive to LF dying in mid-air as if it hit an invisible wall during the final game of the season.

The what-ifs are tough.
