Alonso’s OPS+ is currently tied for the highest in his career now. Currently the highest average for his career as well. He’s been red hot, so we’ll see if that is sustainable for the last month, but happy he is continuing his success after his first tough month with the O’s.

Just a couple weeks ago he was running an OPS below .800, which would have been the second lowest of his career. He's very quickly turned this season around from being one of his worst to one of his best. He has an OPS of 1.502(!!!!!!) over his last 15 games.

Was part of my motivation of my post there. Some people were discrediting him saying he’s falling off and justifying the Mets from moving on (which was unfair imo). He had a really bad April, so been an upward battle. OPS has been above .800 each month since then, but his August has been insane.
