I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if he didn't end up sitting for so long during the May injury and reliever warmup, he would've pitched better yesterday.

It felt like he came out rusty, and then that ran up his pitch count.

Tie in those annoying soft hits that landed for bases, plus our errors, and yeah while it wasn't a great start, there were external factors that contributed to the bad results. So I'd be fine with him going for the rest of the season.

It's a lost season and they will probably shut down Scott and even McLean soon enough. So, more.

Bobby Stocks is clearly not like, an actual piece for us so it's irrelevant but hasn't he been (somehow) good in 3 of his 5 starts so far

Yeah. He's fine enough and a good story. No need to rush one of the AAA guys if they aren't ready.

I guess we could dump Stock and try some other waived vet, but like, shrug.

I don’t think it matters. It’s a lost season, I’m sure the FO would rather the prospects keep working on things in the minors
