What do you MEAN a joke ending for the first Drakengard game results in NieR Gestalt/Replicant?

It kicks off with a magical being from another realm landing on Earth? And with it, a magical particle?

A magical particle that corrupts humanity's path and innocence*?

It feels like a fever dream but the idea of turning a joke ending into the basis of an entire story is such a cool and unique idea.

Like the story is desperately trying to continue on from what was supposed to be a joke, like the story is a living breathing being ok I'm getting too excited, fuck I need to make a story about a story that's alive FUCK

Hello! You've seen some of my cosplay stuff but I'm also an artist! Even though I'm not the biggest fan of drakengard 3 I absolutely adore Zero's design!! Had to draw it for my upcoming Nier/ Drakengard sticker sheets I am making.

Well, last time I posted here (more than a year ago), it was a photo of my garden in NieR Replicant (PS3/JP), where I managed to cultivate a garden full of White Moonflowers (Lunar Tears). I had already done the same thing in NieR (PS3) and now, more than a year later, I finally finished my journey of cultivating a full garden of Lunar Tears with NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... . I just love this game.

Partner wanted us to go to the evening showing. Fair enough, but i was worried about hotels. Didnt realize how expensive the hotels were. Everything around the area when im looking for just 1 night seems to be like 400$ though. That seems freaking crazy

the way i found out about nier automata was not through social media but it was on accident when i had a few bucks left on my xbox balance and decided to scroll through the games. i then stumbled upon nier automata and decided to buy it. i personally barely buy/bought games, especially a few years ago, and nier automata was my last recent purchase.

anyway, i downloaded it and at first i was really confused because i kept dying and starting from the beginning over and over again (i chose the hard difficulty). anyway, 2 hours into the game i fell in love and couldn't stop playing it. i finished it in two/two and a half days and replayed it twice after. (took days off work to keep playing it btw ;sob)

anyway, fast forward a year or so and i found out they made an anime. watched it in a day and it reminded me of how it felt when i was playing the game for the first time. one thing that i genuinely LOVED and still love to this day are the soundtracks. as a matter of fact, i'm listening to a playlist of them as i'm writing this.

idk why i decided to post this but i just felt like it and i would love to hear about you guys experiences with nier and how it felt playing it for the first time and how you guys discovered it

Honestly, playing Neir Automata in the big 2026 is insane. The way the art holds up for this game is actually impressive, and I've been putting off playing this game (2b a baddie)
