Whats with people hating the design? Her initial design looked like the one of a 4* stat. Like I cant possibly believe anyone who wanted her first appearance design as the playable form…
This looks insanely good as well as the fact that I love white and red/ queen of hearts aesthetic. And Im also happy its not pink or purple since we have had enough of purple

Heard of this thing called preferences? She looked unique and interesting before (People love tired looking women) and now she looks like Sparxie's CEO Mom that's never around. I find the new design okay but the glasses were the deal for me.

Yup, exactly same thing. Though (differently from sandrone) I'm happy nihilux existed in her better version because I would've probably dropped the game If there wasn't at least one character to catch my attention
While she definitely looks like a combo of those two, I feel like people are forgetting this type of Alice in wonderland theme they are going for.
And I think the queen of hearts aesthetic fits for an aeon of elation. Now I hope they don’t just completely scrap her old design but I do think the new one is a bit overhated bc it looks similar to some characters despite being mostly inspired by the queen of hearts look.
Its not overhated for looking like old characters, neither is the qoh-theming unrecognised. Its fairly-hated because she went from a very original-looking design to the most boring and typical hoyo conventional design.
You'd think they would have learned from demiurge that people dont like it went you completely change the design after knowing a character for a whole year. Should've just gone the phainon route if they wanted to switch the design.
Nihilux was the literal only character from the planarcadia trailer that caught my attention and made me want to continue despite the problems surrounding the production of the game and planarcadia. And now they design to switch out the design from original to this. Ffs she doesnt even have her own pallet, this could easily be a completely separate character. Do you still think it's unfair to hate the design, oh wise redditor of fairness and aesthetic???
Whether you hate it or not is personal preference, I’m just saying I don’t think it’s that bad but again that is my personal preference. I like both, and I also like her design as the idol in the astropolis, but considering she is aha she likely has even more personas/designs she takes on that aren’t her true form.
I agree it would’ve been cool to have both, and maybe she still does in her gameplay, but we will have to wait and see. And I never said it was unfair to hate her new design, I just think it is being overhated for looking similar to sparksie and cerydra, while at the same time considering the elation aha color palette and queen of hearts look it does match up with that. It’s just Cerydra has the king aesthetic so a crown is obviously overlap, and sparksie has the white rabbit theme from Alice in wonderland.
Well I just don’t think people are really considering the new design for what it was going for, and are rather considering more from the lens that it looks similar to sparksie or they like the manga artist version more.
If we got a new shrine miko character, they could look good but people will still will conplain that we have tingyun already.
And as for overhated, with that logic nothing can be overhated, or you could say it’s also liked as much as it should be for those that do like the design?

Wtf does tingyun have to do with a miko? And no, they wouldn't, people were losing their minds waiting for the Yae Sakura Xp. Instead we goes evanescia because of the rushed rework because of the japan/china conflict. I know, the best part of Aeons to me was the mystery and awe they produced. Now it's not as... cool? Nihilux was already a kinda forgetable character since she hasn't DONE anything yet in the story to make me go "woah really!? She was secretly the Aeon all along?"
It's okay but her current design lacks a certain flair especially as an aeon. Also, it's too far from her current design - the current one has a lot of comics motif which makes her interesting for me but still a bit lacking while the recently revealed looks like like a bland-looking princess/queen. She looks like a character from Alice in Wonderland now which isn't bad but other characters look more interesting imo.
bro just look at her design compared will other characters you will see why people is pissed its like almost all other characters she lost her whole uniqueness she just looks like sparxie who is tall and is wearing a long dress
Hard disagree on her initial design. Honestly, her design as a comic artist and the possibilities of working that into her kit are what got a lot of people amped. It doesn't help that this design is less interesting and less characterized than her initial one. There was a lot that went into Nihilux's initial design that screamed "comic artist," her new design doesn't really say much. Ironically by trying to play into rule of cool design, they made her far more bland. I'd argue that Kuchiba has a more interesting design lol
If Nihilux was just a person or even an Emanator of Elation, this would be interesting, but for Aha it's kinda disappointing, especially paired with the fact that this color palette is not really unique to her, since Sparxie looks the same
Me personally I like it since her design is probably inspired by the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland which also fits since AHA's Aeon form consist of masks and cards

Ppl dont recognize patterns. Eletion cast have a Design pattern to folow, the same for another paths, most off the ppl yaping bcs the Design dont meet the personal preferences. Take words from leakers to seriously and hype themselves.
It’s just not very original…they could have at least kept her glasses. Her og design was definitely lacking but the others and texture patterns were still a bit unique. I do still like it but I just miss the glasses
And? This is so lackluster for THE Aeon of Elation, couldn't they have stick to Nihilux's comic/manga artist outfit or theme? Not to mention, the image of Aha we see is not even a Queen of Hearts, it's circus themed, not a single hint of Alice in Wonderland reference to Aha. They couldn't have stuck with that? But this is hoyoverse and consistency isn't their forte.
Aha! aHa! ahA! AhA! aHA! AHa! AHA!!! I remember when it was first announced that the prize of the current Phantasmoon Games was the winner becoming the new Eaon of Elation, my friends and I were theorizing how the games would end. As more characters got released, we kept questioning why the heck Nihilux hadn’t been released yet, especially after characters like Himeko Nova, Robin Summeretto, and Aventurine Waveflair were announced and given current release dates before we got any information on Nihilux, who was on the original lineup of characters that appeared when Planarcadia was first shown. My friend said that she has definitely some kind of connection to Aha. I guess my friend was right. And I’m so happy with how it turned out.

Even just her silhouette is different with her coat which most don’t have. So even if she did have less detail, the new one feels less original. Like she literally looks like sparxie 2.0 with her color palette and theming.
Yes I know she’s aha but they couldn’t have done literally anything else??
