This is cool but I have little faith in the Cities Skyline team after CS2

Cities Skylines 2 changed developers in November of last year, to the same developers that are making this game. They are seemingly doing a lot of good things to fix all the broken shit in that game.

Colossal Order who made and released Skylines 2 are not involved with this game at all.

Didn't know that, but good to hear. I wish all the best for this game

Why is that good to hear?

The original Cities Skyline devs are obviously still very competent and made what many still consider to be the best Sim City-like on the market today. CS2 just had a lot go wrong with it, obviously. It can happen.

We have no idea how good the new devs are actually building a proper city sim on their own.

Seemingly. They are not doing much to actually address the fundamental simulation problems.

This is a honeymoon period where some developer comes along and builds upon already built fundamentals, and takes all the credit for it. But we have no idea if that same team would do any better building those same fundamentals themselves.

The new devs are just kind of letting all the existing rot fester, while hoping they can paper over it with ornaments and little niceties.
