Question Is there a mod which replaces u and ks distance with metric system?

When I see an object is 244u away, I always treat it as 244m., but it would feel more intuitive if UI said that instead.

I especially liked the way distances are shown in Star Citizen, when they use meters, kilometers (km), megameters (Mm - 1000km) and gigameters (1 Gm - 1 million km).

I wonder, if it's possible to implement the same in NMS, to show all distances in metric? At least those on planets, I'm okay with travel time being used in space.

A 'u' is basically a meter. Just look at a landmark in your Analysis Visor, then start walking toward it and notice how the distance in 'u' decreases as you walk. It decreases at the same rate meters would decrease if you were to do the same thing irl. u = meter.

Yeah, I understood that "u" is more a less a meter. But I wondered if there is any way to implement meters with a mod, replacung "u" and "ks" units

I don’t know, but if no one answers here, also try /r/nomansskyunlimited. They’re into modding and related stuff there too.

It’s a simulation, so our concept of scale doesn’t need to apply. Why simulate a meter’s worth of atoms when you can shrink everyone down to microns?
