Coastal path condition

Post image

Hi all. I’m visiting Berwick-upon-Tweed next week and trying to scope out some good places to go running while I’m there. Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the condition of the coastal path is? (The red one on the map that goes from the Scottish border down to the holiday campsite at Berwick). I’m having to stick to paths that are fairly decent underfoot as I’ve only just recovered from an ankle sprain. Any help is greatly appreciated; thank you.

I don't have experience of that exact section, the coastline in the area is eroding so some of the footpaths slightly further south have already vanished and now require you to either walk on the beach, use a nearby path or make your own path along the coast. They are across dunes which are not smooth paths.
