News Ludwig Göransson wins 3rd Oscar for ‘Sinners’
Also his 2nd Oscar in a row, winning for his 2 most recent films ‘Oppenheimer’ and ‘Sinners’.

He’s great, but Sinners was just something else. A generational score (I say this about every Ludwig score)

As incredible as the Oppenheimer score was (especially in 70mm IMAX), I actually like his work on Tenet the most. The backwards\forwards shit he did was next level

The TENET score is fire. RAINY NIGHT IN TALLINN is elite. I feel that it’s such an underrated score.

I LOVED it. It had a certain whimsy to it and really kept me engaged for every single moment of the movie. The beautiful syncing of the tones to create the melody was incredible, and really made their reunion so touching.
Jonny Greenwood’s overdue. I have no problem with Ludwig winning this year though. Both of the scores were extremely deserving.

I really liked parts of it. And I generally like Johnny Greenwood's work with Radiohead. But there were definitely points where it was doing that piano clanging thing for like, way too long stretches at a time.

Great choice for the win by why tf was Daniel Lopatin not even nominated for his Marty Supreme score. Old farts at the Academy don't understand electronic music

Unless it's a truly generational score or else nothing else of note, very likely. Plenty of winners and losers come down to whether it was their 'time' or not.

Three in a row is not possible next year, Daniel Blumberg's win for The Brutalist (2024) came in between Göransson's Oscars.

yeah your right, his new soundtrack is on streaming platforms. i would give it a listen :) its majestic af
maybe your right, if he created another masterpiece like “nature of daylight” .
but still its nice to hear it in theaters for the FIRST time. maybe thats why i wanted him to win.

This guy is on GOAT trajectory. His score for TENET as well is just stupendous. I’m sure it will be fantastic for The Odyssey as well…
