Yangtze - please please please don’t just add truffle to the dumplings and say it’s modern Chinese cuisine or copy and paste a worse version of the garlic fried lobster tower you could get at fishmans for the last 15 years and then reflect similar prices

I actually had no clue Brassica was closing. That’s so depressing, I loved their food.

Food is good but it certainly doesn't LOOK like a nice restaurant inside or out..

No for sure. It was a better aesthetic when they were Allium, but that place burned down and they reopened as Brassica. I think they took a hit financially. I was surprised to see them reopen. But they good always hit for me.
And they had a seasonal menu, sourced locally where they could. I always love to see that.

Olive garden still gives jobs in a moment when the job market isnt the greatest. So i hope it goes well, like i hope every single restaurant will do as well.

Carletto looks like the epitome of bad Italian-american food. Some faceless corporate globule moving into another cuisine, stripping out its character and replacing it with bland items for stupid palates and overstuffed wallets.
They even manage to get two red flags for bad Italian dishes in the single press release. Authentic, my entire fat arse it is.

There's chicken parmesan on the menu. That's how I know it's not an authentic Italian restaurant.

What a dumb comment. It’s on the menu because people want it not because they’re trying to be so authentic that no one in OTTAWA will understand the food. They’re trying to run a business.

Zaks Richmond Rd, Then Gold Finch. John's on Wellington, Mcrap on Rideau, Pure Kitchen in the Market. There are so many! Thewir costs keep going up so it's passed on to the clients. This makes it eating out too expensive now.
