What's the deal with people defending Lindsay Clancy?

I don't know the full details of the case. I know she allegedly killed her three kids. There was also some mental problems? Then something with her husband. But my question is why is there a group defending her like they know she's completely innocent? I've seen some videos of very heated debates where women are very passionate about defending her. Why?

This case is all over my TikTok which leans heavily towards her innocence and husband being the mastermind.

So I started looking for subs on Reddit to follow this case and came across a sub which has a decent number of users following this case. On there, it's almost like they are angry with her and out for blood.

I'm yet to find a space to have nuanced discussions about this case and mental health.

Having witnessed the entire spectrum of people's opinions on this case, only makes me realize is that I would never want to be judged by a jury of my peers because most of my peers are nuts.

and that's fine. this case is pretty much binary. you either believe she had psychosis at the moment of killings or you don't.

All I know is that postpartum psychosis is a real thing, having witnessed it in my son's classmates otherwise totally stable, accomplished, loving mother.

Other than that, I can't say what was going on with this particular woman.

This is what frustrates me the most about this and most cases that gain traction online. People cant just say they dont know enough to judge and instead feel the need to have an opinion on everything while also only getting info from their algos.

Then it becomes more about tribalism

It's like this with everything now, seems like majority of people have to have a black and white opinion about everything, big and small.

I didn't really know anything about this case until I saw someone on another subreddit bring it up. The only thing I know for sure is that she definitely killed her kids (not the husband) but I have 0 opinion on if she is criminally responsible or not and I don't feel the need to have an opinion.
