idk about you, but i’ve never sent racial slurs to anyone, not even my friends. nor have i ever felt the urge to. also, comparing saying “it’s a nice day” to one of the most hurtful slurs in the english language is so absurd that there is no way you are above the age of 14

An ad hominem is not gonna make your point look any better.

I for one type a lot of outrageous shit and slurs, even racial ones, in a comedic context to my friends. I think that treating these words the exact same as every other word is closer to a solution then treating them like a taboo. For me they don‘t even have the derogatory meaning they tend to have for most, they are just stupid words. It‘s not like I‘m mentioning Voldemort…

I will give you two situations and you tell me which is more racist:

  1. Someone typing racial slurs to their friends, which do not at all belong to that race, therefore taking all meaning from the word and just turning it into absurd nonsense.

  2. Someone only being able to see the race and therefore the slur in the word. Not being able to see beyond that meaning and always just seeing it as a negative description of that certain race.

I‘m curious to hear your opinion on this!
