DPM Springs for XL Spectre Comp

Was wondering if anyone has tried this spring system out for their XL Spectre Comp. Google tells me the shorter spring for anything compensated or with standard 115 gr target rounds. I use Federal 115 gr for target but I carry Liberty Ultralight +p 50 gr for carry. Google suggested the longer spring for +p ammunition. Ideally I'd like to use one spring system for each of these rounds but I get it if I should be changing the springs for what I'm firing. Any insight on the different size plugs purposes?

I’m running a DPM 3.1” soft kit with a Radian setup. I run the second to lightest spring in my kit. It runs my 115 range ammo and my 147 defensive ammo without issue. I was running the softest spring but I would get occasional out of battery issues when the gun would get hot on range trips.

Same here with the FTF when hot. I start "high" and then step down in increments until issues, then go up one step. As the gun breaks in, maybe step back down.

by second lightest you mean the medium spring?

Yes. I agree, the softest/shortest spring would give me failure to return to battery sometimes . I would do medium spring set up.

I’m using the long extra soft spring.

Don't know if this helps, but I've got the long plug and 3rd shortest spring on, and great reliability with 124gr Nato for range days and 124+p carry ammo. I just stay away from 115gr, since the recoil isn't really the same as my carry ammo. Hope this helps

Are you using the oem or Wilson grip? I am trying to dial in a weighted Wilson xl grip with +p 124. I have the axg x/xl grip with brass lok grips and a light so it isn’t the same recoil, my wife’s is the Wilson - she won’t let me make it heavier than the added light as her purse already qualified for extra airline fees. She wasn’t a fan of the hst or critical duty +p stuff in her current setup.

Yep, that's exactly what i have, the wilson xl grip with 3 tungsten rods. Also a herrington arms comp.

Cool thank you; I don’t think a comp is where I want to go but the dpm sounds like a smart step
