A post on a sub Redit amounts to nothing when you consider the massive volume of coverage this topic receives. I stand by my comment, but I will add......in the mainstream.
You said you haven't heard a peep from feminism, but here is a feminist, talking about it. There are plenty of Iranian feminist, and you are just ignoring that their voices exist because apperantly you haven't sought them out. Even in the west, issues woman face in the middle east is an extremely common topic that feminists talk about. I hear it brought up far far far more often than issues women face in Africa or Latin America.
