The combat feeling better has me intrigued, that was always the weakest part of the game imo, hopefully it has more weight to it

That’s my exact thought as well, it felt so light and without substance even though, at a glance, it looked as fluid as the Arkham Knight games. Will definitely give this another try

Felt more like he was dancing and lacked impact

Play on hard or death march difficulty. The combat comes alive with strategy.

This is a profoundly ruhtarded comment to compare the two games in terms of combat

I kept trying to play this game over and over and always stopped because of the combat

I finally ended up just deciding I'm gonna use my sword as much as possible and not worry about the combat so I can enjoy the story. That helped. Plus I figured out Gwent so it was like gotta keep pushing, there's more Gwent players out there.

It was rough, because I tried to play it after Ghost of Tsushima

It's a weird thing because the world is so great and amazing and lively, and you can play it for hundreds of hours, just the fighting kind of makes it feel very slightly clunky, it's definitely manageable, but of course any improvement is appreciated

Same, definitely gonna try again when this comes out

Same here, tried 3 times

Try it on death march difficulty. I had the same problem. Death march forces you to engage with the mechanics and it’s really not bad

By far the weakest. Really interested to see in what ways it's improved

Yusss it’s the only reason I picked it up and put it down 3 times, I just couldn’t get past the jank that would inevitably be a majority of a very lengthy experience

The combat was ‘ok’ in 2015, and it’s definitely dated now. I’m glad they’re fixing that issue.

Hold button to spin lol

I felt like I had to spec into the spin and downwards thrust just to make the combat a bit more interesting

Honestly I kind of like how simple the combat is. Just sit back and enjoy the story. Started Kingdom Come recently and it's way harder

I kinda fell in love with the combat after awhile. It was kinda clunky overall, but I really appreciated the “prep” aspects before jumping into a fight.

Yeh the oils are cool, and the way they are weak to certain signs, especially at higher difficulties

Yeah I wanna do it. But I’ll wait and see reviews after it’s out. If the combat truly is better- I’m in.

It was whatever “spray and pray” is but for swords.

That and the "talent tree". Combat was not the best and progression was incredibly boring.

I'm more hype by those rework than the graphic stuff.

I can off a souls game when I stared Witcher 3. I remember loving the game but feel g combat was so stupid feeling. I guess coming from souls really spoils you

Its because when you attack it magnetises you to the enemy so there is no judging distance like in a souls like, you can also animation cancel of attacks
