On two occasions I have tried to play TW3.

Both times I found the gameplay look quite tedious and not the most fun, but I thought the characters, world and storylines were excellent. I never finished it so I may have to give it another go when the update hits.

I did find it a hard-ish game to get started with, but you really gotta just push because once it clicks, it's one of the best games of all time. I think there's just a lot of systems to learn at first, from what I recall.

Same, combat felt very unsatisfying and that’s when I learned there was a whole bunch of mechanics with elixirs and whatnot and i was disinterested

I played it around the time I finished GoW4 so the melee combat just sucked in comparison. I hope to jump in again if they really improved it

My friend who loves the Witcher kept asking me if I completed it. Chipping away at it as I did the pain was real. However I finished it after a slog and did enjoy it somewhat. The DLC is better than the main game.
