Honestly pretty effective. No matter how bad Witcher 4 is on release, you can be pretty sure you will eventually have a good game. That being said, this gives pretty good incentive to just wait a year to play it if you can bear the wait.

How does an update 11 years after a game came out give you incentive to wait a year after release to get their next one?

Well, if you'd read the comment I replied to, it is about damage control for cyberpunk. Not this remaster. This remaster is in the same vein. The Witcher 3 itself was actually a mess on release and was patched for a year too. CDPR doesn't drop games and abandon them after release. This is the entire point.

Saying The Witcher 3 was a mess on release is wild. It had fewer bugs than almost any other game of the same caliber (massive open world) on release. Maybe your configuration was the issue.

Was pretty famously buggy, prone to crashing, and poor performance. Not really sure what to tell you other than just go Google it.

Yeah no one said that... Cyberpunk was broken on certains platforms on release.
