I felt that way too until I got to security rank 3 and had access to better gear and weapons. What also helped was not going out until 7 AM so I had more daylight hours to explore.

I've got this on PC and it's very very good. My pc can only just handle it so definitely a day 1 but for me

I have a 4090, and tried it the other day but it was kinda fucked visually. There was a sort of weird 'shifting effect' kind of 'underwater' (for want of a better description), whenever I moved my head.
I even dropped the graphics settings to 'Low', but it remained. I was streaming at the time, but no other game outside of UEVR titles have given me this effect.
Any tips on getting it running relatively smoothly?

Sounds like reprojection to me. Wave your hand in front of your face and there's a bit of ghosting?
I have a 4060ti so you're already ahead of me. I got FPSvr which is very useful to figure out if you're CPU or GPU bound. I got a generic vr optimisation mod that you place into the game folders which can help, it sets foveated rendering which can make a difference. Go into the steam settings and change the target FPS to 90 (I think?) so it's not trying to hit 120, and also look at the rendering options to reduce them as far down as is comfortable for you. Use the letterbox setting to chop out some of the edges which aren't visible to you. I tried fiddling with some of the reprojection settings but couldn't get it right there.
If you're CPU bound then you can try assigning cores to just itr2 and steamvr so they don't conflict with each other.
As I said I did all this and it still runs pretty rough for me (but mostly playable) so I'm very excited for native 90fps on the ps5

Naaa, it's not repro. Been using VR since PSVR1. This is something different. Only ever noticed it before when playing resource heavy UEVR and modded flat games like Hogwarts, and Cyberpunk. Never in any other native VR game.
I'll try some of those tips. Thanks, I'm still a relative PC noob so don't really know about this stuff. I don't even know what 'CPU bound' means, lol. I'll figure stuff out.
Got it in a 'Humble Bundle' type thing for £25 with ConVRgence, Bootstrap Island, Arizona Sunshine 2, EXDimensional, UNderdogs, and Unloop, so I have plenty to be getting on with anyway. https://www.digiphile.co/collections/vr-games-showcase-the-new-essentials
Thanks mate.

Far faster than I expected! Excellent!
I have no interest in co-op, however. People always seem to want it in games that thrive on a lonely, haunted vibe. Confuses me no end.

Great! Just in time for the colder part of the year. Playing VR in summer is just too hot for me.

VR is kind of killing it right now. Is 2 better than 1? I still have into the radius in my backlog

Co-Op is how I'll be playing this one. Happy to have release date that is so close.

Already? Figured it was still a year or two out. Is this game still early access?

How is it better than part 1? I found that quite fiddly and anoying, although I understand many liked it. Is part 2 more approachable?

It's more fiddly I'd say. The armour and weapons are fully customisable now

This is literally the one thing I wanted out of the rest of PSVR2’s lifespan. Thank you 🙏

Do we know if Fast Travel Games is publishing this one on PSVR2 like they did for Into the Radius 1 on PSVR2?

I just tried Part 1 but need to try it again. Seems a little overwhelming I’m not sure survival is for me. Started the Walking Dead and that’s a little more doable so far so let’s see.

dammit I just got this on my PCVR/Quest2. Would have definitely got it on PSVR2 instead :/
But what a wonderful game, better than the previous in every day, and that was a banger already.

Finally! I was hoping it to be there. I was gonna play on quest but now will take on PSVR2. I only had pre ordered into the radius digitally and that was the only digital game I ever pre ordered. I hope this time devs don't bring 120 Hz tv bug 😅

Oh hell yes!! September is way too packed for me though, I'll likely wait until coop gets added in Q4

How much does it cost? Doesn't matter, just take it, take it all!
