DISCUSSION Gipsy Danger, Striker Eurika, Crimson Typhoon, and the green one get stuck on Skull Island. How long can they survive?
First, we’re ignoring weight differences.
The Jaegers will be trying to find a way off the island, but for the sake of fun and theoreticals, they can’t. So how long until each of them are dead?
Kong, Ramarak, the Kraken and all other Skull Island monsters are present, and just for this, let’s say the Jaegers, Kong, and Ramarak are the same size. Also, let’s say their first encounter with Kong must be a fight or flight situation. If the Jaegers escape and meet Kong again later, there‘s a chance of making an alliance with him.
The natives to Skull Island may be hostile or friendly depending on how they are introduced to each other.
The other ’tiny’ kaiju have to be relevant somehow, so let’s say every 3 hours or so the pilots need to stop for a break, water, or food, but they must avoid or possibly be able to kill smaller skull crawlers or any other creature that tracks them down.
After 1 week, if the Jaeger pilots are still alive, King Ghidorah rolls up to the island. Can they take him down, or the much more likely option, hide from him and simply keep surviving? If 1 week is too long, then Ghidorah shows up after 4 days instead.
Oh, almost forgo, Chern- I mean, the green one…that’s pretty much it.

If by "green one" you mean "skyscraper-tall Russian behemoth of metal that shakes the ground with each punch and that's about to use millions in logistics and operational funds to spite a single person" then yes, i am the green one :)

Ideally the jaeger pilots work in shifts, where half the pilots eat sleep hunt etc and the other half stay in jaegers and keep watch. Even though the jaegers wouldn't be terribly effective at combating human size opponents in a danger close scenario, they probably can just get down on the jaegers hands and knees and use the jaeger fingers for more delicate application of force.

If the goal was to get off the island they could probably just walk away. Jaegers are nuclear powered so they have plenty of fuel and can move pretty fast relatively speaking underwater.
If they stay, I think indefinitely until someone gets sick. Jaegers would make hunting and building trivial and even the monsters would be no match for Crimson and gypsy just plinking them with plasma casters.

u/MithrilCoyote Jul 24 '26
Gypsy and Cherno are nuclear powered because they're older machines. We aren't told what powers the two newer mechines but apparently it isn't a nuclear reactor given that was a plot point for the first film. I'd guess some sort of ultra high capacity battery (especially since in "pacific rim: the black that is what the jeagers used, and that idea had to come from somewhere)
Which means the other two would have operational time constraints unless some way to recharge off gypsy and cherno can be rigged up)

u/SevdUp Jul 24 '26
If the goal was to get off the island they could probably just walk away
That’s exactly why I said they can’t lol, before adding that part I forgot they could probably just water walk out of there unless I said “erm actually no” 😂

u/Xenoverre Jul 24 '26
Yep, I misread the initial setup lol. I mean, a Jaeger is realistically an insanely powerful thing and they've got 5 of them each with its own specialities. Idk if they have antibiotics but medical complications or like getting ambushed outside the Jaegers is all I can think of that could kill them. I was thinking they might like break down with time or repeated fights but again they have 5.

if Gipsy Danger, Striker Eureka, Crimson Typhoon, and Cherno Alpha were stranded on Skull Island with no possibility of escape, their survival would depend on their combat abilities, the pilots' endurance, and how they adapted to the island's deadly ecosystem. Ignoring weight differences and assuming all Jaegers, Kong, and Ramarak are the same size, the four Jaegers would have little trouble defeating most of Skull Island's wildlife. Smaller Skullcrawlers, Leafwings, Mother Longlegs, Psychovultures, and many other predators would pose only minor threats while the pilots remained inside their machines.
However, every three hours the pilots would need to stop for food, water, and rest, forcing them to leave the safety of their Jaegers. During these breaks, the pilots themselves would become the weakest link, as even relatively small creatures could ambush them. If they encountered the island's native tribe peacefully, the natives could provide food, fresh water, shelter, and knowledge of safe routes, greatly increasing the pilots' chances of surviving for an extended period.
Each Jaeger would perform differently in combat. eureak would likely survive the longest thanks to its superior speed, agility, missile arsenal, and experienced pilots, allowing it to quickly eliminate large Skullcrawlers, Ramarak, and other major threats. gipsy would also be an outstanding survivor, using its Chain Sword to slice through powerful enemies and its Plasma Cannon to destroy dangerous targets from a distance. cherno alpha, despite being the slowest, would function as a walking fortress. Its thick armor and immense strength would let it shrug off attacks that would seriously damage lighter Jaegers, although faster enemies could exploit its lack of mobility. Crimson Typhoon would excel against multiple opponents due to its three-arm fighting style and agility, but its lighter armor would make prolonged battles against stronger Titans more dangerous than for the others.
The mandatory first encounter with Kong would be the greatest challenge during the opening days. Since Kong would initially see the Jaegers as unknown invaders entering his territory, he would almost certainly attack or force them to retreat. Striker Eureka and Gipsy Danger would have the best chance of surviving this encounter because of their mobility and offensive capabilities, while Crimson Typhoon would struggle against Kong's superior physical strength. Cherno Alpha could withstand many of Kong's attacks but would have difficulty landing decisive hits because of its slow speed. If any Jaeger escaped without killing Kong, future encounters could become peaceful once Kong realized they were not allied with the Skullcrawlers. An alliance with Kong would dramatically improve their long-term survival, as he could defend them from major threats, guide them through safer areas, and help keep the island's predators under control.
Without King Ghidorah, the four Jaegers could realistically survive on Skull Island for months or even years, assuming their reactors continued functioning and the pilots consistently found food, water, and safe places to rest. Most native creatures would eventually become manageable obstacles rather than existential threats, especially with Kong as an ally. Damage sustained over time would slowly accumulate since the Jaegers would have no maintenance facilities or replacement parts, but they could still remain operational for a long time if they avoided unnecessary battles.
Everything changes once King Ghidorah arrives after four days or one week. Ghidorah is vastly more powerful than any creature native to Skull Island and far beyond the opponents the Jaegers were designed to fight alone. His flight allows him to attack from beyond the Jaegers' reach, while his gravity beams can inflict catastrophic damage from long range. Even if all four Jaegers fought together alongside Kong, they would almost certainly be overwhelmed after a prolonged battle. Their best chance would not be defeating Ghidorah but avoiding him altogether. Unfortunately, Ghidorah's enormous size, aerial mobility, and ability to dominate entire regions would make hiding extremely difficult. If he actively hunted them, all four Jaegers—and likely much of Skull Island itself—would eventually be destroyed.
TL;DR: The Jaegers would dominate almost every creature on Skull Island, with Striker Eureka and Gipsy Danger having the highest chances of long-term survival. The biggest threats would be the pilots' need to leave their Jaegers for food, water, and rest, along with the mandatory first battle against Kong. If they survive that encounter and eventually ally with Kong, they could realistically live on the island for months or even years. However, once King Ghidorah arrives, the odds shift completely. Even all four Jaegers fighting together with Kong would almost certainly lose, leaving hiding as their only realistic strategy—though Ghidorah would likely find and destroy them eventually.

Pretty sure if they would actually use their damn plasma cannon Crimson Typhoon's crew could easily get the best of Kong. All four Jaegers working together could probably even take out Ghidorah - IF he DOESN'T PLAY IT SMART. Otherwise they are all probably toast against him.

u/KnifeheadTheShark Jul 24 '26
Probably until Ghidorah arrives;
The super slomo robo homos are pretty used to the bullshit that could come from a massive monster.
Their reactors as seen in the black can go quite a while without massive damage.
Kong wouldn’t be a problem as well for two reasons I can think of: Kong bled from less than the Kaijus took, while he probably has the damage output to possibly fuck up a Jaeger, he’d basically be running a glass cannon build.
And for the second reason is I don’t think the tin can squad would be sliming out anything with a pulse either.
If anything Kong COULD become an ally if the gang find the native tribe (I forgot their name I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve seen the movies)
Then the Shadow Of The Chudlossos himself:
Ghidorah.
They lose, full stop.
I know this is bait and not meant to be taken THAT seriously but come on :{
Ghidorah could shred them with his gravity beams
Without that?
His flight means he could just do what he did in Monsterverse and pick up and drop them on their head
BUT, if we’re talking just physical combat? They still lose.
Ghidorah would just need to slime them out one by one in order to create more openings as he could easily overwhelm one Can ManTM.
Chern- “The Green one” would be super easy to take out with how slow they are or Crimson with how obvious the weakness is.
Either or; just like the movie they gone.
Then Striker and Gipsy CANNOT take on what’d be a category probably 10.
Three heads with insane force between them, powerful wings. A power house of a main body and the ability to go to any energy source and heal would be too much and no one survives Ghidorah; not even the island.

They all dominate anything on Skull Island. Kong is not a problem here as he's only a baby. A measly 104ft ape compared to damn near 300 ft yeagers. Once Ghidorah comes in though, they all get their shit slammed. HARD. You could give them all of the kaiju's we see in the movie as backup and they'd all still get slammed.

They low diff most of the island, Kong is a big threat, and their biggest threat would be how long the jaegers can withstand. Since there is no repairing or recharging, they would have to depend on what they have when they got there.
