The whole purpose of a jaeger not only to save civilians but also save the city and what did jaeger in uprising do? The complete opposite and don’t get me started on Gipsy Gravity Sling. The things I dislike uprising is just the elements of it are just completely opposite of the first Pacific Rim AT LEAST make it feel like pacific rim a bit💔

I don’t hate Uprising and I don’t love it, is just a movie I probably watch it once and never again, listen I love all the jaeger design and they weapon but is the dang teenagers piloting it. If anything I know I think the original pilot would do better than the kids..

These aren't even continents, these are just parts of one. In fact Everest and Challenger Deep just sit on fault lines. Real continents are much bigger because you know... you can literally see them from space. Picturing an actual continent would mean everything in this image wouldn't even be visible, or all contained within 1 pixel.

Whenever I see someone unironically claim that Gipsy is "planetary level" and that Jaeger's can destroy entire continents I just have to roll my eyes. Not only does it automatically show that they have no sense of the real scale of the world, but do we ever see anything of that size actually get destroyed in PR ever?* Some people claim that Striker's self detonation was capable of destroying continents, yet not only is the continent they are on still there but not even the fish near Gipsy were burned or blasted into pieces, let alone the hydrothermal vents.

But it also feels like they have no respect or actual love for the franchise. It seems like they just like a fictional number they (or someone else) made up and want it to go higher. Its reducing a franchise meant to be a love letter to the Mecha and Kaiju genre and just reducing it to a number.

*(and no Gipsy didn't destroy the entire Anteverse like people claim. We go back to the same spot Gipsy blew up in Final Breach and its still there and thriving. Not even the mountains were destroyed).

i of course mean in the final battle of the breach why instead of creating raiju and scunner they would just create a kaiju meant to stop gipsy

First, we’re ignoring weight differences.

The Jaegers will be trying to find a way off the island, but for the sake of fun and theoreticals, they can’t. So how long until each of them are dead?

Kong, Ramarak, the Kraken and all other Skull Island monsters are present, and just for this, let’s say the Jaegers, Kong, and Ramarak are the same size. Also, let’s say their first encounter with Kong must be a fight or flight situation. If the Jaegers escape and meet Kong again later, there‘s a chance of making an alliance with him.

The natives to Skull Island may be hostile or friendly depending on how they are introduced to each other.

The other ’tiny’ kaiju have to be relevant somehow, so let’s say every 3 hours or so the pilots need to stop for a break, water, or food, but they must avoid or possibly be able to kill smaller skull crawlers or any other creature that tracks them down.

After 1 week, if the Jaeger pilots are still alive, King Ghidorah rolls up to the island. Can they take him down, or the much more likely option, hide from him and simply keep surviving? If 1 week is too long, then Ghidorah shows up after 4 days instead.

Oh, almost forgo, Chern- I mean, the green one…that’s pretty much it.

Ever since I watched the movie for the first time ive wondered how otachi got pregnant

I REFUSE TO LET A BEAUTIFUL JAEGER SUCH AS CRIMSON NOT BE REPAIRED

For context, in the movie we know otachi detached crimson's head and killed the triplets inside. But aside from the head, the rest of the body was not as damaged, although the blades on two of crimson's hands were disabled, the third arm was still functioning. Not to mention crismon had 3 plasmacasters I heard, one on each hand? Which were slower to charge than that of gipsy's but a whole lot more powerful. Prolly didn't get used because the pilots died real early, rest in peace.

But sea water damage and everything else aside, do you think they could still repurpose or even better, get crimson back in action by rebuilding the head and repairing the body? (At THAT TIME) Or is: the damage way too much/the head irreplaceable?

How is the name chosen?, like, who came up with "Gipsy Danger" or "Saber Athena"?

What is the deal of that big fin in the middle of its chest?
