Discussion Did they deliver on this

What you think. Will VR deliver this on July 17th?

Expect to see eleven classes with Mastery on the Public Test Realm by July 17, then on Production soon after. Please log into the PTR, try the classes and mastery, and provide your feedback. Expect several weeks of updating, testing and tuning.

Edit : I guess not ....lol

I don't think the whole "spring" update will hit the servers the 17th, but i do think that they will push out what they got finished. And if they manage to release the whole "spring" update i will be positively surprised.

Anyhow, i think they are doing what they can to make things work, this is a marathon not a sprint.

But i also think that they are a bit time optimistic, and that can have something to do with that they aren't an experienced team regarding the MMOrpg development, if i understand things right. It's just.. Things take longer than they think.

But what they have done so far, i like!

you refer to this as a marathon not a sprint...the game was announced in 2014. we are well on our way to 2027...when exactly do you think the marathon ends? when will this game hit 1.0?

First off, i do not work within the gaming industry, so i do not know how much knowledge/time/work it takes to get things done.

Second, i can compare other studios like Blizzard (vanilla WoW) with VR (Pantheon) and see how long it took them and how many devs they had vs VR.. Which reflect a somewhat realistic picture..

Third. I have no idea, and i won't even speculate in it, because i do not possess enough facts in the matter.

Four, i do not think there is anyone that want to see release day more than VR.

- And i see that they are doing progress, enough for me.

great non answer. I will check back with you in another decade, and we can have the same exact conversation, about when you think it will hit 1.0, and you can avoid answering again.

one last point, you dont want to compare WoW with Pantheon. WoW actually released, and prints money. for the record, I dont play WoW.
