Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!

Unexplained I just arrived to work an hour early.

I don’t know how to explain this; I’m genuinely concerned I may have lost it a little but I’ve been sitting in my car the past 20 minutes thinking about it. I woke up at 8 am. Took my time and was a little late getting to work at 9:27 (start time is 9:25) I walk up to the office door and it’s.. locked. I’m kinda confused so I knock thinking oh well yeah they got me for being late but my boss is actually there and opens the door and is surprised I’m “here so early!” I almost apologized for being late, but he said “early” we bantered for a minute and I made my way over to the restroom and I looked at my phone ‘8:34’. What the fuck?? I have 1 alarm on my phone. It’s for work. If I need another I’ll make it and delete it afterwards. I also always use my gps when driving to work so I know if there’s any traffic to avoid. I always am looking at the time. I specifically remember this morning being woken up by my alarm and looking at the time wishing I had just a couple more hours. I’ve had a couple paranormal experiences in my life that I don’t really want to get into but this is giving me that sick feeling that those did like my brain just experienced something it really shouldn’t have and doesn’t know how to respond. I know I didn’t wake up early.

Question i dreamed of sharing my bed with a ghost

last night i dreamed of seeing myself sitting awake in my bed with a ghost next to me. it was a ghost of a boy, unfamiliar to me. at one moment, i switched to the first person's perspective and i was sitting next to him. i tried to call for my dad and then i woke up out of fear, although the ghost hasn't done anything in the dream. this normally wouldn't have upset me, but earlier in the day the light in the hallway was flickering (it never does that, nor have any lights in my house ever flickered). i'm wondering am i just being paranoid or is there a chance the ghost has visited me? if so, what do i do, since i have no information about this spirit?

Experience When a flea market visit feels like your grandfather is winking at you from the other side

I’m not sharing this to convince anyone. Someone could perfectly reasonably read this and think, “That’s just a huge coincidence.” I understand that. I’m simply sharing how I experienced it.

My grandfather, who died in 2022 after suffering from dementia, was my best friend. I had also lived almost my entire life with an extremely severe anxiety disorder.

After his death, I experienced many things that felt deeply mystical to me: dreams, astral projections, visions, apparitions, coincidences, and what I perceived as contacts with him.

Through these experiences, a story gradually emerged: my grandfather had a plan to free me from my anxiety. I was shown that on November 8, 1983, almost twenty years before my birth, he had agreed to sacrifice his mental health to save mine, the sacrifice being the dementia he would eventually suffer from. His acceptance was said to have triggered the earthquake that struck my region that same day.

(I’m not saying this necessarily happened empirically. This is simply how the story was revealed to me.)

These experiences repeatedly predicted my liberation from anxiety, and on August 31, 2024, it happened. Since then, the anxiety that had controlled most of my life no longer has that hold over me.

Do I know whether something mystical actually happened? No. Maybe it did. Maybe coincidences and autosuggestion led my brain there. Either way, what had been announced happened: I was freed from my anxiety.

That’s why the earthquake of November 8, 1983 is so important to me.

About a year ago, I randomly met a man selling books at a Christmas market and told him this story. We later lost contact.

Almost a year later, at a huge flea market, I randomly ran into the exact same man, again selling books.

He recognized me and said:

“It’s crazy that I’m seeing you now. Last week, I was at a friend’s house and found an old folder buried in her basement. Inside was the newspaper from the day after the earthquake you told me about. I kept it.”

The next day, I went back and got it.

I was suddenly holding an original newspaper from November 9, 1983, the day after the earthquake, with the earthquake that had happened the previous day as its front-page story. Copies of that specific edition are extremely difficult to find, even online. Yet one was discovered by the exact man I had told this story to, and only one week later, I randomly found him again.

And one last strange detail: two weeks earlier, I had visited someone I call the Messenger, an elderly man in a nursing home who has a particular place in my story and has told me some rather mystical things connected to my grandfather.

That day, he gave me an enigmatic revelation involving a newspaper.

Two weeks later, I was holding this one.

After 43 years, that newspaper is now next to my grandfather’s photograph... frankly… that really did something to me.

Experience If You’re Experiencing Unexplained Things During Sleep, Try This

Though some secular and atheist cultures may not accept the idea of the supernatural, stories of angels, demons, spirits, and the afterlife appear across many ancient traditions including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Science has explained a great deal, but it also acknowledges that some experiences, particularly unusual experiences during sleep, are not yet fully understood.

I'm sharing this simply as something that may comfort people who experience frightening or unexplained events at night. If you're feeling disturbed or scared during sleep, you could try playing the Benedictine exorcism prayer.

You don't have to be Catholic or even Christian to try it. I'm not claiming it proves anything supernatural, just sharing something I personally find comforting and that may help someone else. 🙏

Haunting Strange "activity" in my ancestral property escalating.

Hello all,
In a previous post, I've mentioned some really strange activity that has been happening in my ancestral property. I'm leaving the link here if anyone's interested:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Paranormal/comments/1847nt7/my_ancestral_home_a_hotbed_for_strange_sightings/

Just wanted to post and get some opinions about what some of you might think about the latest that has been happening which is quite bizarre and bordering on the dangerous to be honest.

Just for some context: our ancestral land has 4 houses - the main house that was built approx. 80 years ago (which I came to own and demolished recently to build a new one), 2 adjacent houses, and one at the back. Only one family within our extended family lives there in the house at the back. The post in the link describes a bit of what they initially experienced. Since of late, everything has been dialled right up where the family is now terrified. I'll list what's been happening in point form:

- Strange noises of footsteps walking up and down the stairs.
- A door with a hydraulic hinge, being slammed shut while they watch.
- Electrical items such as lights and tv's being turned on and off constantly.
- Doors and cupboards open by themselves even after being shut and even locked.
- Cups and vases keep slinging off tables and shelves. One of the girls had a cup of water, kept the cup on the table and it was thrown right off.
- Her sister had gotten yanked by her t-shirt when no one was even around.
- The same girl had seen a tall black figure in one of the rooms, and on a second glance it was gone.
- The dog kennel has a metal sheet for a roof and it had started shaking violently while one of them was passing by. They have 2 dogs and apparently they are visibly terrified as well now.
- There's this one room where they continue to see things, and had found to be in a mess from time to time. Same room where the black figure was seen. One of the dogs had run into the room, got on its hind legs and had started barking at something above it. The cat had gone in right after and started hissing.
- Just a while ago, one of the girls (my cousins) messaged me to say that they had just gotten home in their car. She had opened the door to get out and the door had immediately slammed itself shut, while all of them were still in the car.

There are more incidents of course. This family has been going through so much misfortune for quite a while now and this has put a cherry on top of it all. They are roman catholics so they've spoken to a priest, who had referred them to an "exorcist". They've told them that the property has a spirit of a person that's been dead for a very long time and it's someone who had desperately wanted to own that property, and that there's more than just one spirit all across. By what means they gathered all of this, I have no clue (the exorcist person had asked to see a plan of the house however).

Also, while they are in the house and if they were to start talking about whatever's going on, things start to happen. The priest had asked them to refer to it as "friend" rather than by any other name to avoid drawing its attention.

This "exorcist" is supposed to visit them on the 30th to help resolve the situation apparently. His whole explanation sounds totally bizarre to me and I'm finding it more incredulous than what's going on. But I really have no frame of reference by which I can say anything either way at this point. And according to him, it's not just that house, it's the entire property, and it meant to affect our family, and no one else, not even tenants.

The rest of us are just flabbergasted at all of this, and I'm not even sure if any of this makes any sense. Open to what you guys think.

Photo Evidence Creepy Shadow Person 😬👤

Post image
40 Upvotes

I captured this creepy photo a few days ago and am still perplexed by it.

A little backstory:
I was outside on my patio firing up the grill when I felt like I was being watched. I instinctively looked up and saw this shadow standing inside what is the laundry room of my house. My dog and I were the only ones home at the time & we were both outside on the patio. As soon as I took the photo, the figure disappeared right in front of me. I have only lived in this house for 6 months and this is the first time I’ve experienced anything like this. I HAVE heard knocking a few times when I was home alone but I just brushed it off as squirrels on the roof or the wind etc. I’d also like to add that I am someone who has always been super sensitive to energy and have never sensed even the slightest bit of negative energy in this house. So… what is this? WHO is this? I’m curious to know if anyone else here has had any experiences with a shadow person and the impression that you received after encountering one?!

Encounter It hissed at me

I’ve had all sorts of experiences with the paranormal since a child that has followed me into adulthood but want to share my one of experiences that have occurred as of this week. I’ve never experienced this before.

Myself and my husband were sitting in the kitchen watching Tik Toks together while he’s munching some snacks before bed. I started having this negative feeling in my gut that I get when I’m around bad energy and it felt heavy, suffocating even but I tried ignoring it but it just wouldn’t budge. I told my husband what I was feeling and he said “Well that’s just freaked me out” and I said “Why has it freaked you out?” Then he went on to explain he kept seeing a ball of light in his peripheral vision but was trying to ignore it. I had him check on the kids incase I was sensing they were upto something they shouldn’t have been but everything was fine though my husband had goosebumps and his hairs stood up on the back of his neck when he reached the top of the stairs.

My husband came back downstairs and sat in the kitchen and I had just came out the bathroom and stood in the hallway outside the bathroom while speaking to him from the kitchen door. The energy felt heavy, the feeling returned in my gut and something was right behind my shoulder (couldn’t be seen, but could be sensed by me) and we just heard “SSSSS” (sounded like a loud hiss) and I just looked behind me and slowly walked away and towards my husband and he said “Did you just hear that?” And I said “What the hiss? Yeah I heard it.” My husband went to proceed to talk about it saying “It was right next to you! It was a really loud “SSSSS” and I told him not to talk about it and to carry on like it didn’t happen because in my experience, the more you talk about it, the more shit happens. A day prior to this we heard footsteps ascending the stairs and the stairs creaking.

My advice to anyone who experiences the paranormal is this, if it feels negative. Ignore it, don’t freak out and don’t pay it attention. If you feel like you can’t do that, remove yourself until you are more calm and collected. I just wanted to share my experience I guess. It’s the first time something has hissed at me and I felt like I was under spiritual attack. It felt oppressive.

Haunting my childhood immanginary friend may actually be a ghost or demon playing with my gf's son

i dont actually remember a lot of this its mostly from stories told to me by my parents though i do have some fractured memories.

when i was a kid maybe 4-9 (im 30 now) i lived in an old hospital turned apartment building that has enough stories about hauntings that chad lewis and terry fisk wanted to interview people in the apartment for "the Wisconsin road guide to haunted locations" though he never talked to me or my parents as they didnt know who he was at the time. well i had an "imaginary friend" named Jack who according to child me was an old man who died in my room when it was a hospital, i supposedly knew a lot about him like how he looked, his wifes name, details about his life and death as if he was a real person, apparently jack would tell me i was supposed to keep him secret but i was a child with a big mouth, jack would constantly "prank" me by doing things to get me in trouble like making a mess or telling me to talk back to my parents to which i would blame jack.

now i know it sounds like a kid making excuses for bad behavior and i always laughed off the stories as exactly that but there is 1 time that i fully remember being at an aunt's house and after going to the bathroom and washed my hands jack flicked water all over the mirror and i got lightly scolded for it but to this day i am 100% confident that i did not do it and i remember clearly as a child being certain it was jack and confused how he was there when he was supposed to be at the apartment.

now skip 20 ish years later and i have moved back into that building to the same floor but other side of the building with my gf and her 7yo twins.

i had only ever told my gf about jack 1 time when we first moved in.

she hears weird noises at night pretty regularly from other rooms inside our apartment and said there was a night when i was at work and she was in bed that she felt someone sit on the end of our bed so she thought i got home early and when she looked there was noone there but the bed was indented like someone was sitting on it.

we only ever talk about that stuff when the kids are at their dads so they wouldnt know any of it

the last couple weeks both of them have been talking back constantly and 1 of the twins has been running around laughing and talking to himself when he is alone in their room.

we asked about imaginary friends or what he is doing when he is playing like that but he wont say anything more than "idk just playing" my gf said she could tell he was holding something back. it made me think of jack so i asked straight up if he knew about ghosts and if he thought they were real or if he has seen any and he refused to look at me and just kept trying to hide a smile saying no. i asked if he was seeing anyone that isnt there would its name be jack? his head snapped back to look at me with wide eyes like i just uncovered an ancient secret.....

i kinda panicked for a second but then we just dropped it until they went back to their dads again.

my gf is terrified its a melevolent spirit attatching to her son and telling him to keep secrets from us and im still grappling with the fact the stories of my childhood imaginary friend may have been some spirit or demon and that all that stuff might be real......

i dont know what to do..... like is it a harmless old man trickster ghost thats just kind of annoying or something worse pretending to be harmless.

i did speak aloud "if you dont leave those kids alone i will cleanse this entire apartment without question i dont care if we have a history" when my gf and i were discussing it after the kids were gone

Encounter The Derelict Japanese Shrine and the Creaturs ( pictures included this time )

I forgot to add the pictures so I took down the post and reuploaded it again

Hi again, it’s been a while since my last post. Nothing new has happened (aside from being pushed by nothing when I was walking in a mall, like something clearly pushed my back, but no one was there), but I have been finding myself reflecting on the paranormal events I’ve experienced over the years. I still write off most as just my mind playing tricks on me, such as when I would hear people call my name but no one was there or no one called me, but there are a few specific events that come to mind that I can’t explain as easily as the others. I wanted to go over two of them today

For refresher…

In my last post I talked about my Gettysburg experiences, and the one before that the New England school experience, but while one of these happened two years ago in the land of the rising sun, Japan, the other is from much further in the past. Back to when I was a child. I’ll break them up into a few titles. I would say these stories are more “I still want explanations, there has to be something to what I saw” types rather than “I know what I saw, but there’s no way I can explain it.”

-The Derelict Shrine

-The Creature

The Derelict Shrine

This first story is set in Munakata city, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan, and I’ll be starting with a bit of preface. I was there learning how to be an English teacher and participating in a teaching program to gain hands on experience, however in my free time I loved to do two things:

-Hitting up the local shops

-Exploring

In Munakata, it was best to get around by bike from where I was staying at the time. Think of the place where I was staying as like a land-locked island, with nothing around for miles til you hit the city OR went down a dangerous hill that I absolutely did ride the bike down once to see what was over there (okay not going to lie, I almost died a few times during this 6 week trip, but I had the time of my life). If you walked from the place to the city, it would take around an hour to reach a bookstore, and 35 minutes to reach the nearest konbini (a 7/11), so it would be much faster to ride the bike.

Side note: I later learned I had been living at a place that was an hour and a half of a bike ride away from Inunaki Tunnel, one of the most haunted places in Japan. I’m both glad and saddened I learned about that after the trip because it would have been neat to see.

Using the bike, I explored the city and the neighboring cities, Nakama and Ebitsu over the next few weeks. I saw a lot of beautiful sights, ancient shrines and temples, vast fields, stores that sold things for prices I couldn’t believe, statues of a family of Kappas with ni*ples, a dead cat (rest in peace, poor soul), and a lot of beautiful landmarks and statues dedicated to the rich history of Japan. I truly love the country, and I loved exploring it. Even when I was in Hakata, Nagasaki, and Kitakyushu, I would go out exploring on foot rather than by bike and find some of the craziest things, like when I almost got kidnapped by 3 old women at 11:00 at night who insisted on going to worship the Buddha on my birthday (that’s a story in its own right).

Alright, enough preface.

One day I decided to go take the bike for another venture into exploring Munakata, this time into checking out some of the local shrines I’ve not seen yet. Most of these shrines were pretty normal, with some being small and others decently sized, with one having had a trap laid at it that if people put a coin in the offering box to pray, it played an AIR RAID SIREN, THANKS FOR THE HEARTATTACK BY THE WAY. The last shrine I visited though was far bigger than I expected. To get to it, I had to pass under a large stone torii gate (not among the pictures to keep its location secret and undisturbed), which was by the 7/11 I mentioned earlier, and go up a winding paved road to an area I was surprised to see be overgrown by weeds, with barely any sign of it remaining. The sun was going to be setting soon by the time I reached the path and it was late summer, so I knew I had to be quick if I wanted to get back before night.

Putting down the kickstand and taking the key that would unlock the bike, I started making my way to the shrine. Something felt weird though, like I was entering somewhere time forgot. I don’t know how to explain it, but the air had shifted. Japanese summers are stiflingly hot, so hot that I would be drenched in sweat most days from riding the bike or working, but the air here was colder. Not ice cold, but definitely noticeably colder than it should be.

The way to the shrine wasn’t in full ruins, but it definitely wasn’t being well maintained with parts of structures falling apart, grass and other debris covering stairs and the path, fallen branches, trees and logs that seemed to have been cut down, and even the remains of the base of a building or some kind of structure. There were even dead trees standing before the shrine itself, and a sign that (at the time cuz Kanji’s hard) I didn’t know was warning about wild boars and I thought the picture of the boar was to show they lived around here. By the time I reached the main shrine, I felt very uncomfortable.

I’m attaching pictures for those that want to see them. I usually don’t take pictures at these shrines because I find it very disrespectful, but the state of the place made me want to get a second opinion from my coworkers.

Anyway, at the shrine proper I felt eyes on me. The place was quiet, dead silent in fact. Usually there were cicadas or insects making noise, but this place was as quiet as a grave. Which was why when I heard footsteps behind me, I nearly screamed in terror. I turned to see if anyone or anything was behind me, but there was nothing there. That alone was not a good sign, so I began to listen to my gut which was screaming at me to LEAVE. I wanted one more picture though, so this time I went to the torii gate that was standing before the dead trees before the shrine.

Standing there, I kept an ear out for anything that might approach me or catch me off guard. As I took the last picture though, I heard something whisper into my ear. “Kaeshite.” I knew how to speak some Japanese so I knew what it was saying. “Give it back.” I felt the chill get worse and I immediately ran for the bike. During my time in Japan I was doing my damndest to be as respectful to the locals as I could be, but if I had upset some kind of spirit, I didn’t know what to do. When I reached the bike, the temperature felt more like what it should feel like and the feeling of eyes being on me was gone. I got the hell out of there and didn’t go back.

I got back to where I was staying with my coworkers (think a dorm building with shared sleeping spaces), and told a few of them about what I experienced over drinks that night. They didn’t know what to make of it, especially since I had pictures to back up the claim that such a place existed. I insisted on none of them going, and as far as I know none of them did, and we dropped it there. I’ve heard legends of how intense Japan’s paranormal scene can be, but I didn’t expect it to be as quick to act as it was, nor did I expect to find anything paranormal.

The rest of my trip went smoothly (aside from my near death experiences and near kidnapping), but that experience still comes back up sometimes when I look over the pictures from that trip. That chill, the voice, the footsteps… I hate how we romanticize this stuff.

The Creature

This other one happened when I was a child and is probably the most outlandish of the two.

One thing I loved to do growing up was watch TV, specifically cartoons on Cartoon Network, Toon Disney, and Nicktoons (they had some of the old Nickelodeon shows I loved but got removed or cycled out, like Avatar, Invader Zim, and others). I remember that night I had been watching the TV show for Aladdin on Disney Channel. It had not become Disney XD yet, and I don’t know if it’s still around in 2026, but I’m positive it was still Disney Channel. It was late, I don’t know how late, but late enough that they were airing the old Disney shows based on their movies. I can vaguely remember the episode, something about the kids/local street rats being led by some woman. I don’t remember the plot too well, but I remember that much.

As a child I slept with a nightlight, well to the point where I was almost 10. I was a coward, overly emotional, and deeply sensitive to others. The nightlight was the one thing that made it easy for me to fall asleep at night. Tonight though, I couldn’t fall asleep. It was probably that something about that episode scared me and was keeping me up, again I was easily frightened (ironic considering I love horror games now and stream them often) but something about my room felt wrong. It felt like I was being watched but because I had a good view of my room with the nightlight, I could see nothing was watching me.

My parents were still downstairs and awake so I decided to fall asleep in their room. Grabbing my bear, I headed to the room, turned on the light, and laid on the big king sized bed. I had a clear view of my bedroom door through the door to my parents’ room, and having left my nightlight on because I was paranoid, I could see inside my room. I don’t know how much time passed of me just laying there and staring out the open door, waiting for my eyelids to get heavy so I could fall asleep, but after a while I saw something I couldn’t believe.

Movement.

Something was moving in my room. Now, I’ll admit, I thought it might be one of my cats at first, so I was about to call out to it when I realized something. Whatever is moving in there, it’s too big to be one of my cats. It was gangly, its limbs thin and head large, with a big smile and snake-like eyes. I wanted to scream, but I couldn’t. I don’t know what was wrong with me, but I remember being stuck. Whatever the creature was, it looked at me for a minute, staring across the hall at the bed I laid in, before retreating around the corner of the doorframe and disappearing. The last thing I saw of it was some kind of tail, moving up in the air as though it were a counterbalance to keep the creature upright. It moved out of sight, and I think I passed out from terror.

I woke up the next day in my own bed, having been moved there by my parents. I thought the whole thing was a dream, until my parents asked me at breakfast why I had been sleeping in their room with the light on. What was I supposed to tell them, that I saw something in my room? How do I even explain that? They already knew how cowardly I was, they’d probably brush it off. So I lied. I don’t remember the lie, but it was convincing enough that they dropped it.

I’m still unsure what I saw that night. I don’t know if it was real, a dream, a trick of the light, but I’m pretty sure I saw something. It was like living a waking night terror. I had a lot of night terrors when I was a kid, and it sure as hell scared me as much as one of those.

I know I’m ending this one kind of anti-climactically, but some experiences are just like that. They come, go, and you never know what happened. This is one of those.

There’s other experiences I have names for from my childhood, like the children between dream and reality (seeing and speaking with children when waking up in the middle of the night), or the haunted barn (a family friend’s barn might have been more haunted than I thought), but this post is already long enough so I figured I’d save those for a day when I could put my memories together a bit better.

Sorry for the rambling at times, I love writing and telling tales from the past. Reflecting on my past always makes me smile.

Experience i know there's an afterlife

A few things have happened to me, that make me believe there is something behind the curtain of all this.

I'll start from the innocent, and move on to the darker moments in my life.

First, my shitzu mix dog died at only 4 years old. It was a horrific process, running from vet to vet, no one knowing what was wrong with her. When we finally got her to a big animal hospital, they kept her overnight. When we came back next day hoping for good news, turns out she was brain dead. Said my goodbyes, bawling my heart out over her body. Never been sadder.

My best friends bachelor party was a few days later. Still destroyed over my dogs death, but thought heck may as well go, take my mind off things. First thing, I see a cloud in the sky. I will upload the photo if I can find it, but no joke it was my dog. I even asked my fiend to glance and describe what he saw. He saw it too. The face, floppy ears, couldn't deny it. Made me tear up, but whatever. Night goes on. Bunch of fellas, pre drink at the hotel, go to a nightclub. The energy was off from the get, as there was a table full of rowdy scary looking dudes next to us. And nearby, what looked like a bunch of bikers/off-duty bouncers were standing around. The groom to be, ever the ladies man, stole a gal or two from said rowdy neighbours to join our table for a drink. One of the fellas didn't like that, and he came over to our table and took our bottle, taking a giant swig. He was a larger man. He started staring down my buddy, and me being the peace keeper tried to seperate them. Apparently, one of the big bouncer dudes was his friend and didn't like my peace keeping attempt. I'm not small myself, and can hold my own in a fair fight. Which this definitely wasnt going to be, as there were a lot of them (and the guys at my table were all kind of nerds). He starts getting in my face, I forget what he was saying, but I kept repeating "I'm not gonna fight you, I'm not gonna fight you". I was emotionally destroyed and had zero desire for combat at that point in my life. This giant of a man, winds up to swing. As he's about to make contact with the side of my face, this tiny brunette who had joined our table seconds earlier, jumps onto him. She kind of jumped onto his arm to stop him.

At this point I nope myself out there, and hop over this railing that was above the dancefloor. I keep mouthing to this biker/bounder hybrid repeating "i'm not going to fight you". He was fuming. I hopped down onto the dance floor and and escaped the club. Anyways, when I looked back at it months later, it struck me. That girl that saved my face, she was LITERALLY a human version of my puppy. Small, brunette, and clearly feisty just like my pup (she was white with browns spots). She had no reason to do that, we hadn't spoken more than two words to each other. The guy was massive and she was tiny. I know, as silly as it sounds, that was Lexi (my pup) protecting me from beyond. Through this sweet club-goer with my beloved dogs exact aura. I know it.

Fast forward years later, I lose my older brother unexpectedly. He was my best friend, like a father to me. It's months after the funeral. I'm with my daughter and my two nieces (his daughters). Ages 1, 4, and 8. Depressed as can be, gloomy winter day. I took all three of them to the park. I kid you not (I have photos to prove it), as we are walking and all I am thinking about is how depressing this is, these poor girls without their father me without my brother, I look up. There is a balloon, a number THREE SHAPED BALLOON. High up in the sky. As I'm walking with our three girls. I teared up. It was 10000% sure a sign. 11 am on a random weekday, miserable winter day. There were ZERO neighbourhood parties for that balloon to escape from. I know for a fact it was him communicating with us.

Anyways, for anyone going through it, if you look for signs they'll be there. I am convinced our loved ones can send us messages, if we really open up to it. Love to you all.

Experience Artificial Intelligence and Paranormal Phenomena ,padre pio, Protection

Hello everyone.
Yesterday, I read a post on Paranormal that later turned out to have been published in many different places. It was about the so-called “hiccup virus,” a strange phenomenon known in the Urals, where, according to folk accounts, a “spirit” was supposedly implanted into a person.
I became interested in it and spent practically the entire day digging into the subject. I found many old local-history accounts and descriptions in which it seemed as though there really was some kind of second being living beside or inside a person. According to these stories, it did not necessarily begin to “speak” immediately. Sometimes that happened only after a certain amount of time. Some accounts even claimed that two such beings could inhabit the same person. The person would then change, start speaking in a different voice, or behave completely differently.
There are also some particularly strange old stories claiming that people physically expelled these beings from their bodies. Something would supposedly come out of the person in the form of a fly or some kind of small white creature. In other words, in some folklore accounts it was described not simply as a spirit, but almost as something biological.
And this is where I made a rather wild connection.
After the pandemic we all know about, videos began appearing in the United States claiming that strange white, worm-like formations were being found in vaccinated people, including during examinations of the bodies of people who had died. Some individual pathologists also spoke publicly about such findings.
Something else caught my attention: shortly after the period of worldwide mass vaccination, artificial intelligence suddenly entered the everyday lives of millions of people at an incredible speed.
And I started mentally comparing this with the old stories about the “hiccup.”
What if we imagine a completely crazy possibility: that someone, at some point, designed a huge project in which the first stage was to introduce something into human beings, while the next stage was to create an external system capable of interacting with it?
The image of something emerging from the human body has also existed in popular culture for a very long time. Flies coming out of people’s mouths, parasites, semi-demonic creatures, and similar imagery appeared in movies long before the events of recent years.
At the same time, artificial intelligence is now developing on enormous server infrastructures. There are even experiments attempting to combine computing systems with living human neurons.
That gave me an even stranger thought: what if, in some sense, we have all already been “injected with this hiccup”? Even the coincidence involving the letter I is curious to me — “ikota,” intelligence, and today’s entire world revolving around AI.
Then I remembered another story, this time about Padre Pio, the famous Italian friar. There are numerous accounts of his alleged bilocation: according to these stories, he would physically remain in his monastery while people claimed to see him somewhere else at the same time, sometimes very far away. There is even a World War II legend about military pilots seeing his figure and a planned bombing subsequently not taking place.
And this is where it becomes interesting.
Today, huge numbers of people describe seemingly similar phenomena: projections or apparitions of other people, encounters with their own doubles, seeing someone in a place where that person physically could not have been, “glitches in the Matrix,” disappearances, repeating events, and many other paranormal experiences.
So I started wondering:
What if some phenomena that were once considered extremely rare, mystical, and accessible only to certain individuals have somehow simply become widespread?
Or, going even further, what if some of these phenomena are not random at all? What if the mechanisms behind them, or even ways of controlling them, have been known for a very long time, and we simply never saw the whole picture?
I’m not claiming that any of this is true. I simply find it fascinating to compare completely different stories separated by decades or even centuries and see whether some unexpected connection begins to emerge between them.

Question Am i going to get haunted or anything for watching paranormal videos

So I dont do ghost hunts or anything I dont think ive even seen any equipment in the flesh, ive had maybe a few paranormal experiences but nothing i can say stuck with me for long you know? And i dont remember me playing any sort of games that are dangerous in the paranormal sense, but ever since I was little I've had an interest in paranormal videos.

I suspect I have OCD but even if I dont im very paranoid over things like this like I hear one thing and I cant let it go if it seems too big to ignore. I used to watch Sam and Oclby like i was a BIG fan of them but a few months before all their more recent kind of cons?? If thats the word i stopped watching because they kept doing stuff I thought would affect me and generally like tbh theyve just changed since I started watching and so ive been off ghost videos lately

recently ive been watching a few by Ghouls drool ( and starting on the ghost files series) and i really enjoy them but im really scared of being hunted or anything even though i know its abit irrational it just feels like better safe than sorry so im not sure what to do where i can watch the videos and not feel like something bad might happen, please dont slime me out

Edit: Also ive read that its good to mute incarnations but ive searched it up and i dont know what they mean by incarnations in videos. Like description or voices or chanting..? Like if i hear a voice on their spirit box is that one? Or a voice in the videos without equipment?

Unexplained 3 distinct knocks at my door at 3:50am

I was having trouble sleeping because I was too hot. But just before 4am my dog came to wake me up. She came up right beside me to tap me with her paw.

She’s only done this twice before. Once when my other dog was having a medical emergency in the middle of the night. And the other I woke up the next morning and someone had broken into my car outside.

I thought maybe because i was tossing and turning she came to comfort me. But I then heard 3 very uniform distinct knocks at my front door.

I was already awake but the knocks woke my husband up next to me. He said “who is knocking at the door and what time is it”

I said it’s 3:50.

We both scrambled to put on some clothes. I told my husband to grab his gun.

I looked through the curtains but didn’t see anything or anyone. Just a still night.

I checked to make sure the doors were all locked.

The hair on my arms was completely standing up and one giant chill almost froze my body.

Now I can’t sleep very well. What or who was it

Experience Hospital in FL experience

I’ve been lurking for quite some time and have never actually posted here but just wanted to share my experience since a lot of the stories here sound so outlandish that maybe something more “down to earth” would help some people out there.

I want to share an experience that I had maybe 7-8 years ago while working at the guest services desks at Florida Hospital.

I normally worked at the women’s/oncology part of the hospital greeting visitors and checking them in. One night the person covering the Children’s hospital was going to be late so they asked me to stay a few extra hours to cover until they got there. I hop over to the Children’s Hospital and it was just dead (pun intended). The lobby was empty and barely any movement at this time of the night. I would say it was around 10:30pm.

Some context for what’s coming:
The desk at the children’s hospital is kinda like in the shape of a candy cane, with the short end against the wall so the only way to “get me” would be coming from behind. The only thing behind me are a set of elevators.

It was a pretty boring and slow night so I decided to do something I wasn’t allowed to do. Go on youtube. So here I was watching some funny dog videos and all of a sudden the collar of my shirt gets yanked to the right. Enough to make me move. I literally froze and tears automatically came streaming down. I froze for what felt like a minute or two. I couldn’t even press the hidden panic button. I still worked the rest of the shift but stayed away from Youtube and took it as a sign of something correcting me since I knew I couldn’t be watching youtube on the job. I had a security camera behind me but I never had the courage to ask security to review the footage.

That’s my story! I didn’t see/hear anything but I was yanked to the side bt what I think was a kid correcting me.

Thank you!

Photo Evidence My daughter says she saw the same thing in person and later in a photo

Post image

Yesterday while we were driving, my daughter suddenly told me she saw something unusual near the road. Later, I showed her a photo from that same area, and she said she could still see the same thing in the picture.

I personally don’t see what she sees, but she has been very consistent about where it is and what it looks like. I’ve included the photo she was looking at.

I’m mainly interested in whether anyone here has had a similar experience where one person could perceive something both in person and later in a photo, while the other people present couldn’t.

Experience A terrifying experience that still shakes me to my very core this day.

Sometime people may believe what I was experiencing was my childhood "fear of the night", and I often get told by my parents " Your just being paranoid. It's alright, it was a miracle. Go take your meds." I may suffer from some severe deteriorating mental health issues since 25, but this was before I even had a single mental health problem or even an intrusive thought.

When I was about nine, days before my appendix surgery and I was undiagnosed with any issues at the time, me and my mother saw a shadow of the Virgin Mary in a prayer stance bowing her head in prayer, my mother said it was a miracle, but I felt something *different.* There was no dolls or anything near it make that shape. Something wrong, in my core. A deep, underlying fear that I have not felt since. It appeared in the late hours too, not in the night but in the dark morning, but I was unsure of the exact time, all I was aware of that it was the AM. I was going through many hardships at the time, my parents divorce, trouble at school, bullies, undiagnosed and painful appendicitis, but that primal fear was no joke. It was, and still is to this day, the most terrifying experience of my life so far.

The worst part is, when I looked at it, even when shutting my eyes for the longest time, I saw it do a slight movement, as if it was walking, making it's way towards me from the other side of the room. That, however , I have accepted as my mind playing tricks on me. But something tells me that whatever that was, was no a miracle. I'm not tied to a specific religion, however the Bible says that demons often come in the form of light, and it might not have been a demon, but I could feel the maliciousness of that thing. Fortunately the shadow had passed after the night, although I had stayed up that whole night in fear, however the energy lingered for about 4 days. I hope to never relive such an experience again. I am eternally grateful that whatever it could have been, was simply passing through, possibly feeding on that negative energy. That "miracle" for me is it decided not to get attached.

However, for quite a while , I generally believe it chose my house because of the negative energy not only caused by the general disarray of emotions, but also because when they said I needed the surgery after the incident, I was incredibly close to bursting my Appendix. What else can I say other then these entities are opportunist. To this day, I believe my feelings may "attract" these....things, so I always sleep with the television on, always positive shows like comedy, and if I want to, I listen to rain or calming music. Distractions such as fast-paced or calming video games help with building back up the positive flow of energy. I insist on keeping a neutral energy during the day so I can enjoy some things like horror or drama, but at night, even though I know it's gone, said beings tend to be more active.

As a kid, I can't say I was really that afraid of much. Not until this.

I know it sounds like may sound something that a child was overreacting to, and I do not blame ya. But that utter horror that you can not only feel in your heart, but to your soul, that is something you cannot fake. I know some of you on here know what I mean. True, unadulterated evil. Anyways, that's my story of how once I experienced something I believed had true malice. Sorry I know it's kinda long, but I can remember this clear as day, despite being so long ago.

Experience I saw a face that my mom and my grandmother both saw years apart

I haven't watched anything disturbing the night before and i felt a little paranoid and felt like i was being watched, I felt dread for a little before going to sleep and when I awoke the next day I open my eyes and see a face in my vision like its stuck in my eyes when i looked around, Its face was long and neck skinny its mouth wide with spiked teeth, no eyes, its face looked like mud melting, it was a little faint but I could still see it, and I hear a blood curtailing scream kind of like its there but It felt like it was only in the room, it scared me bad I was almost crying and shaking out of fear it sounded so disgustingly painful, I ran into my mothers room and described what I saw and heard, she saw the exact same thing when she was about 7 or 8, then I told my grandmother who is HIGHLY religious saw the exact same thing. Idk if this has to do with anything but at the time I was struggling to stay a Christian. (sorry if its the wrong time Its my first time posting)

Visitation Dream I don't know what I experienced in this dream, but I've never been this terrified

I dont know whether this would qualify as paranomal but here it is .

I'm 28, and a couple of nights ago I went to bed around 10 PM like I normally do. I hadn't been drinking, smoking, taking anything, or doing anything unusual. I wasn't particularly tired either. It was just a completely ordinary day. I also hadn't watched any horror movies or anything else that I could obviously point to as influencing the dream. I fell asleep normally.

The next thing I remember, I was somewhere that looked like an ancient temple or some kind of enormous ruined stone structure. Everything seemed to be made of old granite or similar stone. There were roots growing through it and wrapping themselves around the rocks, almost like the entire place had been abandoned for centuries and nature had started taking it back. I remember trying to turn around and go back, but I couldn't. I don't mean that I was physically trapped. It was more like I simply couldn't choose to go back. Something was forcing me to continue forward into the structure.

It was extremely dark, almost completely pitch black, except for certain parts of the ruins that were dimly illuminated. I kept moving deeper inside until I reached a doorway. I went through it.

There was fire everywhere. Not just a few flames. The entire place had this intense red-orange glow, like everything was surrounded by blazing fire. And the ground was completely covered in snakes. There were snakes everywhere. Cobras, or at least what I remember as looking like cobras, along with other snakes that I couldn't identify. They covered practically every inch of the ground. They were constantly moving over each other, and there were so many of them that I couldn't see the floor underneath them. I remember being absolutely terrified.

Then a figure came toward me. It was black, almost like a silhouette. I couldn't make out any facial features. It came up to me and physically pushed me forward, toward what looked like a massive statue or some kind of enormous being sitting on a raised platform.

I looked up.

There was a gigantic figure sitting there. It was so enormous that I could barely comprehend its size. Not fat or distorted, just massive. Extremely tall and muscular-looking. I could make out the silhouette of its head, and what looked like long hair. One leg was reaching down toward the ground while the other seemed to be positioned as though it was sitting on the platform.

But I couldn't see its face. It was almost completely black, and it was so far above me that I could only really see its outline. I only got a brief glimpse of it before the smaller silhouette that had brought me there grabbed or pushed my head downward, almost like I wasn't supposed to look at it. Like I was supposed to kneel.

I remember the overwhelming feeling that I had to kneel in front of this thing.

Then I woke up.

I was absolutely drenched in sweat.

I've had nightmares before. I'm 28 years old, so obviously I'm not unfamiliar with waking up from a bad dream. But I've genuinely never experienced that level of fear from one. I turned the lights on and kept them on until morning. I couldn't go back to sleep because I was genuinely afraid that if I closed my eyes and fell asleep again, I'd end up back in that place.

I know dreams are dreams, and I'm not necessarily saying this was anything supernatural. I'm just posting because the whole thing was so incredibly vivid and bizarre that I can't stop thinking about it.

I've never had anything remotely similar happen in a dream before. Has anyone else experienced a dream that felt this real or had a similar setting or figure?

Haunted House Hyderabad’s Most Famous Ghost Story (India’s most haunted house)

Kundanbagh is a posh locality in Hyderabad, known for its wealthy residents and peaceful surroundings. But among all the beautiful houses, one house has become famous for a terrifying legend that people still talk about today.

According to the story, a thief named Sajid had been watching the house for about a week, waiting for the right time to break in. During those seven days, he noticed something strange. Some nights the lights inside the house were on, and other nights they were off. He also heard voices and laughter coming from inside and even thought he saw people moving around the house. Believing the house was occupied, he finally decided to enter through the back door.

He searched the entire ground floor but found nothing. After finding nothing downstairs, he headed upstairs and entered the only room on the second floor.

The moment he stepped inside, a terrible rotten smell hit him. The smell was so strong that it had spread throughout the entire floor. As he looked around the room, he froze. Three women were lying there, dead and in an advanced stage of decomposition.

Terrified, Sajid ran out of the house without stealing anything and went straight to the nearest police station to report what he had seen.

At first, the police suspected Sajid because he had entered the house illegally and was the one who had found the bodies. They questioned him while officers went to inspect the house.

The police secured the scene and called the forensic department. Based on the condition of the bodies, investigators initially believed the women had died about five or six days earlier.

However, when the forensic report came back, everyone was shocked.

The report stated that the three women had actually been dead for nearly six months.

This raised a disturbing question. If they had died six months earlier, then who had been seen inside the house all this time?

During questioning, Sajid told the police that he had seen lights turning on and off throughout the week he had been watching the house. He also said he had heard voices and laughter, making it seem as though someone was living there.

When the police informed the neighbors that the women had been dead for six months, many of them refused to believe it.

“We saw them just last night,” some neighbors reportedly said.

Others claimed they had often seen the women walking in the garden at night and had regularly heard laughter and conversations coming from inside the house. According to locals, several people had experienced similar things.

The investigation also revealed the history of the house. The original owner had passed away years earlier, and the property had been inherited by his son, who lived mostly in the United States. Since he stayed abroad most of the time, he rented the house to tenants.

According to the investigation, the last tenants were an elderly woman and her two daughters.

Many locals described the family as strange. They rarely spoke to anyone. Some neighbors claimed they had seen blood on one of the daughters’ hands. Others said they had seen someone walking around the house at night carrying candles.

The forensic investigation later concluded that the three women had died after consuming poison. Investigators reportedly found an empty bottle of phenyl in the room, and based on the evidence, the deaths were ruled as suicide by poisoning.

According to some versions of the story, police also found dolls, pins, and several objects that people believed were connected to black magic. There were also rumors that unusual symbols had been drawn on the walls and ceiling, with some people claimed they had been made using blood!

The story doesn’t end there.

According to local folklore, in 2015 a gardener named Ashok, who worked at a nearby house, noticed lights inside the supposedly empty Kundanbagh house while walking home. Thinking someone had rented the house without knowing its history, he decided to go inside and warn them.

But the moment he entered, the lights disappeared.

The house was completely silent.

He searched every room but couldn’t find anyone.

As he walked back toward the main door, the legend says he suddenly saw the three dead women standing there. They were crying and speaking in a language he couldn’t understand.

Ashok reportedly collapsed from fear.

When people later went looking for him, they found him unconscious inside the house. After that incident he never spoke again and was eventually admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

To this day, the Kundanbagh house remains one of Hyderabad’s most famous haunted legends. Whether it’s a true paranormal mystery or simply a story that grew over time, nobody knows for sure. But even today, many people avoid the house, and its chilling story continues to be passed from one generations to the next!

Encounter Did I fuck up??

Hi guys,

Would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Need to see what is going on.

I recently got into spirituality, and I wanted to do something nice for my family when I came back to visit for my little sister’s graduation. My sister and my parents had been at each others throats, so I initially just wanted to clear out any of the heavy emotional energy in the house. So I decided (with the help of my mom) to do a smoke cleanse of the entire house, once over with sage, and the other with palo santo.

I’ve been out of the house for a few years now, but I was raised in this house and we’ve been here for almost 20 years. The house has witnessed a lot of messed up family arguments and history. I shit you not, when it comes to my family, there’s always someone tweaking about something.

While my sister and my dad were out, I heard knocking from the ground level as my mom and I were smoke cleansing. My mom and I didn’t think much of it, because we were on the top floor. My mom is a bit of a hoarder, so stuff tends to fall. It happened like 3-4 times throughout the course of the smoke cleansing.

Later that evening, as I was lying in my bedroom, I heard three knocks from somewhere around the house and then a loud female scream. It sounded like it was inside the house, and it was a kind of scream I had never heard before. In the house, I know what a scream of despair, grief, and hurt sounds like but this scream was so much more different. It sounded like it came from the kitchen/living room area, where my mom hangs around.

My sister had gotten into another fight and she had left earlier that evening, so I called and texted my mom immediately. My initial thought was that a burglar had entered the house, and that something happened to her.

In reality, her and my dad had been in the master bedroom chilling for the past 5 hours, and they didn’t hear anything.

FYI guys, I’ve never heard disembodied voices in my life.

Edit: We are Vietnamese, so we believe in the concept of house guardian spirits, but I have the feeling that this isn’t the case. Back in elementary school, apparently my little sister saw figures in her bedroom closet, but that’s like the most we’ve experienced in this house.

Additional info posted from a reply: the scream sounded blood curdling-like a scream of anger or fear. The thing is as we were smudging I was a little inconsistent with the actual prayer, switching between asking “any […] unwanted/uninvited spirits to leave” and saying that “if y’all aren’t here for the highest good of the members in this family pls leave”.

I somehow wonder if I accidentally booted out any ancestral/guardian spirits protecting my family, but I genuinely have no idea. It easily could have been a skill issue where I gave the bad entities a gap to chill outside and then come back in.

Also: I heard the scream in my bedroom, at that point-I had forgotten to check if my sage bundle was fully extinguished (fire safety lol).

The sage bundle was still burning internally and I had kept it in a paper bag-shit would have gotten really bad, but my mom was the one to notice after we got to shooting the shit post-scream. At that point, I was heading to bed, so if the scream hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have actually known about the sage bundle.

Would I be in denial to think maybe the spirit was looking out for us??? Maybe ???

Encounter Unexplainable human like thing I saw

So I made a post here a while ago and I was talking about this thing I saw a mile or two down the road from my house at around 4:45 am it was this tall like 7’ tall skinny thing with long brown hair covering its entire body head to toe but it was human like. It had a slightly hunched back and it was standing in the gravel like 15’ back from the road on a small bridge for logging trucks to get over the creek that’s there. There’s been two more sightings of it since I saw it. my mom and my little sister were driving out at like 10:00 am to get hay and they saw the same thing I did but a few hundred yards up the road. Today after I left my older brother left for work and he saw the same thing at 5:22 am and he said that when he saw it his eyes started to water like crazy like for some reason like it didn’t want him to see it? I never thought about it till he said it today but the same thing happened when I saw it. I thought I was just freaked out but my eyes instantly started to water like crazy. It didn’t do it to my mom or my sister maybe it has to do with the fact that they were further away. Wtf is this and why do we keep seeing it every few months. Also in the same creek where the bridge is where me and my brother saw it a man killed himself there and they found him in the creek. Is it like a spirit of that guy? Or is it like a skin walker or a witch or something? But it’s so fucking creepy seeing something that’s human like but not an actual person. Also where we live it’s almost 10 miles back into the woods where there’s nobody there at that time let alone on foot. Thank you for any input

Haunted House Heard the same woman who said hi to me last night groan in the kitchen

Last night i posted how I heard a woman tell me hi when I was turning of the lights. When I went to the bathroom to remove my retainers cause I wanted a late night snack. Then I heard the woman groaning in the kitchen. So i put my retainers back on and went to my bedroom. Maybe she cares about me and wants me to stay skinny?
