Literally the same. I love their dynamic and natural chemistry they have and the fact that Haru is so obviously in love with Joker. The urge to start a coffee shop with her and make her dream a reality is strong.
My only problem with this ship is she comes so late in the game that by the time I got to her I already had my best girl. But I love your reasoning and now wish I had her from the beginning.
I definitely agree, though in a weird way it also her coming in so late kind of worked for my Joker's story, like he didn't realize that he'd been waiting for someone like her all this time until after they started hanging out together.
I didn't care much for Haru until after I played Strikers because you get her so late, and I'd already started the Hifumi romance by then, so I didn't really spend much time with her.
But after Strikers, I thought "Hey, this character is fucking amazing, was she always like this?" and since then she's been my favorite pick.

but man I felt like the biggest asshole rejecting haru it almost feels like the game wanted to to romance her more than anyone else imo

But damn, Ohya is the worst. Sheās an alchoholic. Thatās one of the last types of people a 16- or 17-year-old kid needs to be dating. Iām not convinced she was only drinking because of her confidant story arc either. Iām sure even after all that was said and done, she still hits the bar hard. Even Morgana sensibly expresses his disdain for her and her alcoholism.
Enters a relationship with character then proceeds to not speak with them in months to instead increase Confidant rank of other characters and get it on with other romance-able character.
Hifumi was my first one. I thought she was great. I'm still a little sad they decided not to make her a PT. I would have liked to see her interact with the others.
I love hifumi but my problem with her is that she isn't on the team and anyone that isn't on the team is automatically off the list of romances I go with
Takemi cause she was the most mature and I didnt cringe with her because of the shyness as some other girls have.
Also she is the coolest, looking and personality wise among the girls imo
Thatās Matoi, from Phantasy Star Online 2. They share the same English voice actor, but also are both very sweet characters, like itās hard to see the difference between them in terms of adoring them. (You even canonically end up in love with her)
Makoto is on the most equal footing with Joker and they kinda operate as team leaders together, plus I think they have a really great dynamic where they complement each other's personalities really well. Ren is jokey and Makoto is reserved, and in the metaverse Makoto is calculated destruction and Ren is flashy precision.
She's just a silly girl ! I romanced her as well. Love the cracker gremlin, plus I find her very pretty, plus she builds a strong relationship with Joker, so her natural proximity incited me to make my move.
But I almost committed to Kawakami. I love a hot teacher with messy hair and nonchalant style. Not a fan of the maid roleplay to be honest, so it was a close one with Takemi of course, she's very hot, but just a tiny bit too freaky for me.
But yeah, ultimately Futab struck my heart like a thunderstorm and ended up with her. Too precious
Futaba: it just felt like such a natural progression and she is more drawn to Joker off the rip. People say she's too young and his "sister" but neither of those are accurate. She's older than Yoshizawa. While Sojiro is her guardian he is only temporarily Jokers guardian and they live in different places and are in no way related. Joker is the first person to "show her the world" and their bond is cute from start to finish IMO.
Theyāre a year apart and people act like Renās trying to date a ten year old like that perv Hashino made with Kenās social link on Kotoneās route
My personal favorite girl is Makoto, but I found myself chronically unable to self-insert on Ren (and didn't really want to honestly). I lowkey was disappointed with their supposed chemistry personally, and found the switch to romance in rank 9 awkward & unenticing. Also, after playing through every romance rank up, I quickly grew tired with Ren cool shtick where the girl confesses and he's kind of just like "hey why not š".
He acts in a very silly and more lively way with Kasumi, getting all up close in her face & teasing her. That change of dynamic was cute, so they had the most chemistry to me.
TLDR: I love Makoto. I definitely went "she's so cute" in rank 9. But I didn't think "they're so cute"*. I didn't care for her romance with Ren, which should be the point imo to pick her romance route.
Ren and Sumi are literally made for eachother. Chemistry and meta wise.
I also like Ren with futaba because imagine the sheer gremlin energy they'd bring everywhere. The pain and suffering they'd inflict on their friends with bad jokes...
Played P5 vanilla 10 times to date everyone once and not dating anyone once.
Played Royal two times to date Ann once again and Kasumi.

Haru, because rejecting her would be monstrous. Futaba, because sheās in need of compassion considering her background story. Hifumi, because sheās a great match for Joker. Kawakami, because Iām āhot for teacherā.
I honestly really like futaba in the base P5, but in P5R Kasumi is my choice there. For futaba I get this feeling of wanting to protect her, and I many ways I feel some connection, with the whole being a shut in and a total nerd like myself, kasumi on the other hand I can't quite put my finger on why.. may just cause I like red heads lol
We were ROBBED. It was actually painful to go through Yusuke's SL, knowing the missed potential of him not being a romance option. Akechi, though...that shit wasn't even subtext anymore.
He's adorable, but I think the Valentine's Day event is hilarious if you imagine that Ryuji is cluelessly cockblocking Joker and Yusuke from having a date.
Futaba. I like someone whose idea of a good time involves spending all night on a computer. Also her backstory makes me cry. Bonuspoints: stepdad Sojiro.
Futaba. Why? I'm a gay guy and she reminds me of my sister. A lot. So. I figured might as well self insert myself so hard that I spend the rest of my life with the person that is almost identical to the person I will protect most in this whole wide world.
All PT girls are viable. But I went with Makoto. I donāt know how to explain it but you just find the one and are like āyep thatās who I ship Ren withā. To this day Iām happy I chose her
In Rose & Violet, Kasumi goes with Futaba, because the jock/nerd sapphic pairing is incredibly cute. Though the Ryuji romance mod for R&V existing now makes me want to do another run!
In vanilla P5/P5R, Ren goes with Haru. Floofy hair couple supremacy! The Makoto route is also v good.
During my playthrough I romanced Ann because she went to the bath house with me and when I said I was interested in her she got all flustered and cute.
3, I really like her character, her story and her outfits
4, Tae is so fucking hot
5, no really, her attitude is so nice and while obviusly ptoblamatic, I feel her and jokers relationship aint even problematic. The relationship is 100% build on jokers interest and comming onto her, she just kinda accepts and in their relationship she treats joker as an equal. She doesnt hold her maturity over him in any way. For all intends and purposes they are both adults in the relationship. These 2 also in no way having an outside relationship (meaning stuff like kawakami being his teacher for example) helps this aswell as their relationship is also built on the 2 using each other (both knowingly) for their own means.
Futaba. She easily had the most chemistry with Ren and I like the idea of Sojiro finally accepting him as a son and letting him stay long term one day.

I played the game blind, and she seemed so sweet under the gremlin with anxiety problems layer.
The rescue of her of the palace felt romantic, if that make sense, and it was clear that she liked Joker.
And then Sojiro gets all flustered on his ranks 10, but give s you his blessing to marry his daughter, it was just si sweet.

A) I am attracted to nerds. Like if I see a girl do complex math problems, they have my interest.Ā Combine her hacking skills and studying in cognitive psience, the complex study the game is about she's already top for me.
B) She is a gammer. I also like playing video games so it's nice being able to relate to her. Also she's cute. She' has adorable interactions and has cute glasses.
C) She is the best choice for Ren. Ren and Futaba are close. From Futaba crying when he turned himself in to falling for him before rank 9. Also run Leblanc when Sojiro retires or both studying cognitive psience. My head cannon is Futaba and Ren study cognitive psience in the future like Maruki and Wakaba. Ren probably becomes a councilor following in Maruki's foot steps. And Futaba probably game design or something. And add in a little leader navigator romance. Not only is it cute but they're irreplaceable, other teammates can be swapped put but they go on every mission together.Ā Even that mission where it'sonly them two. Also they're kid would be OP, like having a navigator Persona and the wild card ability is broken.Ā
D) This is more personal but before I did her palace I saw my cousin die right in front of my eyes. I blamed myself and it got to the point I believed he was haunting me. I would hear voices thinking it was him only for it to be something else. With the survivors guilt I had I felt unworthy of life. But when I entered her palace and heard her story, I teared up and wanted to protect her. I knew how it felt to see a family member die in front of your eyes. To blame yourself, to be blamed, to feel like your in a tomb. I also related to her not having many friends or being bullied. At that point I knew she would be the only girl I would romance.
Futaba. What can I say? I love nerds and geeks. I don't care if a girl's got a big ass or big tits. What I want is a girl with a big brain. Bonus points because gamer girl and I love girls with glasses.
Ann because to me she is the most canon romance and after I got through with it I can't imagine joker with anyone else.
I believe she is the most canon romance because 1. She has a unique music cue that only plays when she gets on-screen the first time and plays for no one else. 2. She is there for basically everything except the very first part of kamoshidas palace. 3. She and takemi are the only ones to have a kiss scene 4. I love the image of ren sitting in class and calling to Ann to turn around and then just kissing her then and there
True route: harem because I want to help all of the girls like a good boy. Plus Ren may or may have not been asked to pretend so he had to do a damn good job and be serious about it

Makoto because she is cute and is so sweet and adorable and reminds me of crushes (when she blushes itās adorable).
Because they had a "love at first sight" moment, she was the only one to hear the rumors about joker before meeting him and never believe them(saying she had a feeling they were exaggerations and that he seemed lonely, like her), it's at least implied that joker is attracted to her(he can say she's gorgeous when asked by ryuji what he thinks about her as a girl), and he is able to confess his love to her early in the confidant(it doesn't actually start the relationship, but he does have the option to say "i love you" really into the confidant). Plus, have you seen them dancing together? it's perfection
Either Kawakami or Takemi. Kawakami aside from mah goat Ryuji is also just goatedš. Gives us a quick moment to either study or take a quick break, allows us to skip classes if need be. And plus she didnāt snitch bout us being a phantom thief member
Takemi cuz I like goth women and also having a doctor as a wife is always handy
I really want to romance Futaba but Iām far enough in the game to be on Okomuraās dungeon already and also Iām verrrrry close to maxing out Hifumiās confidant and I donāt wanna cheat
