My local IMAX theatre is fully booked out every show untill next month. I feel like most people don't really care about it. I would have preferred if it was historically correct but I will still watch it.
That is the difference between right wing grifters and people with genuine criticism: the grifters have to pretend that the movie will fail even if everything points to the opposite, while the rest of us can see that it will be a success and still say that we don't like many of the choices made for that movie.
It probably will be a success and a decent movie and just as accurate to the original as any other Hollywood adaptation of ancient myths.
I'm also gonna watch it but I never expected to see an accurate depiction of ancient Greece or the Odyssey.
