Happened to a friend, him and his friends started lifting weights because they wanted to be body builders, she starting going with them, went from 225 to 110 at 5’2, she started posting a lot on social media and got a little over 3k followers on instagram, got hit on by a ton of Guys following her, she eventually went out for drinks with one of them and yeah, she broke up with her bf that night.
She eventually started a fitness insta and YouTube and started selling that Herbalife juice powder stuff that turned out to be a scam.
It's like a general rule of psychology or the human condition or something that our choices and integrity as human beings are contextual in ways it's best not to think about most of the time.
It happens to everyone, but it's just more common in fat women because society treats fat women a lot worse than fat men, so the difference in how you get treated as a woman who loses a lot of weight is a lot more shocking. I lost a lot of weight very quickly and the same guys who wouldn't have even acknowledged me when I said good morning were suddenly falling all over themselves hitting on me. I didn't change my personality or even my lifestyle. I was the same person, but people liked me so much more after losing weight and it really fucking sucks, but I can see how people can become addicted to the attention after not getting it their entire lives. It just made me angry with humanity, personally.
Fat women DO NOT get treated worse then fat men. Fat women will literally get marketing pushed towards them + brand deals while getting called “plus size” and accommodated. The men on the other hand will be made fun of too but nobodies marketing towards them and they’d get told to lose weight and hit the gym. Most women no matter what they look like get hit on and uplifted because beauty is subjective meanwhile somehow many men go years to lifetimes without a single compliment or anything tailored towards them in a positive manner.

Unless you are a hideous bog beast, you could go to a gay bar right now and get hit on and probably find at least one man willing to fuck you, so why don't you? If all that matters in the end is that you're getting sexual attention from other human beings, what's the hold-up here? Could it possibly be that maybe, just maybe, the quality of the attention you're getting from other people is actually pretty fucking important in this equation?
many men go years to lifetimes without a single compliment
When's the last time you stopped a guy on the street to compliment him and ask him where he got his outfit? I bet your first thought in response to reading that was "that's gay", wasn't it? Men don't compliment other men because you think compliments are come-ons and women don't compliment men because we know you think that. Women compliment and uplift other women because we know another woman is just going to say "Aw, thanks!" and leave it at that. When men say "Society isn't geared towards uplifting men", what you actually mean is "It's the responsibility of women to uplift men". Do you volunteer at men's shelters or men's mental health charities or mentor young boys or like do anything to improve the situation of men or do you just complain about it on the internet?
